I am doing a fuel economy test with one of the additives I have already tested. We know it makes more horsepower and torque but this time we are testing fuel economy and I need your help. I am looking for 20 subscribers who drive over 300+mi per week who want to test out this product (I will send you a small bottle). If you want to help, start tracking your fuel economy now and comment below your average weekly mileage, year, make and model car.
The Test Is Complete!!! Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUkICPS0zQE
Here is the packet with the info for the test: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zhy1zvusf5r1xuq/ChrisFix%20Boost%20Maxx%20MPG%20Test.pdf?dl=0

Did this test ever get done?
Have you tested Marvel Mystery Oil as a fuel additive? Would appreciate if you revisit this as I've seen other tests but value your analysis best.
To have a more controlled experiment you could set up almost like a treadmill for the car, of course take the appropriate safety measures. Then get the vehicle up to highway speed and put it in cruise control until it runs out.
2030 mclaren p1 v8 100 miles
does this work for diesel cars? Or is there another for diesel?
love your channel. would love to see more motor mount replacements. I drive an 07 avalon with about 140k miles. I suspect my trans axle mount is failing due to the intermittent kicking when up/down shifting…some times when pulling off, you can feel it lift slightly, before going into 2nd gear. Japanese makes are notorious failed rubber parts. the trany is in great condition minus the kicking.
Keep up the great work
thanks,
chris fix fan
I have a Nissan GTR
Sucks this is 4 years old because I’d love to do this for the road trip I’m about to take.
2015 gmc Sierra 5.3
350 miles 17.6 now is 21 mpg
Chris, so did you ever find a fuel system cleaner that worked well? Better than all the rest?
I wish this was now, I would have helped with my 2000 civic or 2019 charger lol
I HAVE A 2013 CRUZE 1LT 1.4T I AVERAGE ABOUT 390MPG PER 14.1-14.3 GALLONS ILL GIVE IT A SHOT. ALWAYS WANTED TO BUY THIS PRODUCT NEVER HAVE YET OBVIOUSLY HAHA….. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS BROTHER.
Is this the same as the zmax stuff that's sold at stores now? You should see if it cleans the engine all
Chris fix need help HE'S the professional…
I can't drive lol
Maybe 10 HP isn't much for you, but there are some cars that really need that 10 HP.
I would do anything too help out with your experiment with all product… I have a lot of free time to map out a good course…
I can't find the video about the Marvel Mystery Oil
this product really works … Thank you sr…
why not test BG44K?
Depends how dirty and old your car is i'm sure.
Would really be interested in seeing what plain water can clean. Eric The Car Guy recommends it.
+ChrisFix Does this work for diesel engines?
Hi Chris can you make a video on Xado engine gel as they clam big things with it
Do you have a video of if marvel mystery oil works?
I would like to see a similar test done with Lucas upper cylinder lube/fuel treatment fuel additive. The product has similar claims as CleanBoost Maxx. The product is http://lucasoil.com/products/fuel-treatments/lucas-fuel-treatment.
I'm going to help you out on this, I have a hybrid, I average 50 mph and I fill up almost twice a week. but drive more than 300 miles.
Love your show Chris I just picked up an old BSA motorcycle owners manual says minimum octane 98 thinking of using some octane boost on the bottle it say treats up to 25 gallons how much for a 3 gallon tank ? would to much hurt the motor ?
Hi ChrisFix! Dis you do the video of the water to remove carbon from the engine?
Cool
i guess i wouldn't be eligible for this, driving 900 miles a week… :/
I tried the RP fuel injection cleaner on my 2008 saab 9-3, I was getting 27 miles per gallon and a full tank it was saying 370-400 I drive around 600 miles a week maybe more sometimes all freeway miles, I put the RP fuel injection cleaning and my car gained mpg it went to 30 and also it was saying full tank 612 miles and the engine was running quiet
damn.. why I miss out on this
Chris, I check my mileage every talk full. My car averages 24 to 25 mpg every tank. Variables for me would be how much freeway driving I do, ambient temperature and the quality of gas I get. I would be willing to help in the project, so please let me know if I can help.
Oh Chris wants AVERAGE NOT hwy. Oh well I will tell you 300 miles is silly. What if the person idles in a traffic varies from day to day, oh what if it's hot one day, cool the next, what the humidity changes there are to many variables in 300 miles. Actually the mpg from the factory is based on a controlled test environment.
Well Chris I applaud your motivation…
Sigh easiest way find hwy mpg is. Estimate hwy mpg and drive the distance plus a little extra then back track same route and divide into 2 to find average mpg.
I panicked at 2:33 because I could not see the road. :/ XD
HI
HI
I would like u to ship me over a bottle plz chris
did u do it
easy does it
you can do it Chris
easy does it
good luck
you will need it

Too bad this video is over 6 months ago I think I would have been a prime candidate for that test. I have a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Express with the 5.7L Hemi.
I drive 27.1 miles each way to work 5 sometimes 6 days per week with about 4 miles of that being city driving.
I use the El Cheapo gas from Arco (BP petroleum) and currently average 18.5 mpg if I'm being conservative on the throttle.
ChrisFix can you test Archoil?
how much the bottle? i drive 100 miles/day
Do you want me to run the stats to see if the differences are trustworthy?
Big big fan of you
I followed your instructions to the T on seafoam and I think because I've been using Lucas oil fuel saver for about 11 months I wasted seafoam because my engine must be extremely clean. It says that it helps maintain your engine and I believe it definitely does. I have a 1999 Oldsmobile cutlass and the money that would go into another tank a gas about $30 has gone into Lucas oil which has maintain my vehicle.
