If you’re in the market for a rebuilt title Tesla or you want to rebuild a salvage Tesla from the auction there’s a lot you need to know. Tesla has changed many of its policies recently and it may surprise you on how limited these cars can be. I still love my 2015 P85D that we rebuilt after it was totaled by the insurance company but it’s not like owning a normal Tesla. Rich Rebuilds helps out with this one as he knows a thing or two about wrecked Teslas so enjoy and I hope this helps you out.

  1. I have a salvage title model S and still have free supercharging. There must be something else in play with this car. Warranties will never be reinstated on salvage cars, regardless if it’s EV or ICE.

  2. Elon Musk is a double edge sword. On one hand he claims to be a patriot and supports freedom of choice and free speech advocate, and on the other hand he is working on brain implants to control people's minds while he built the most intrusive and controlling vehicle on the road. Cameras filming you 24/7, you MUST be connected to his network at all times, he can stop your vehicle at ANY time, he can mess with you and your car even after you buy it, or in this case you buy and rebuild it. The law says you can put it on the road safely, yet Musk punishes you. Hypocrite!

  3. Dude, get real.
You can’t take this golf kart out of town even when supercharging.
I don’t have time to keep stopping pre plan stop.
Telling me which way I can drive.
    Fuck that shit.

  4. Not a fan of Tesla cars or the owner. When you pay so much for a car and the owner has control of the car what you can do and what you can’t do….you just spent all that money for a car you don’t really own! I won’t ever own an electric car that I will pay a truck load of money on it and don’t really own It. Now if they pay me to drive it I would drive it. Government and car manufactures have too much control as it is..not what America was founded on…sick of this shit!

  5. What about salvaged Rivians or other brands allowed to use Tesla's Superchargers? Is there an agreement in place for the other brands to follow suit and control supercharging abilities?

  6. Y should Tesla give a dam on the fact if car is salvage or not it doesn’t effect them. I still think Tesla is a great idea. there not for everyone. This will definitely give Tesla a bad name.

  7. Supercharging can easily be re enabled … And even enable FREE supercharging on the older cars. But guess these guys alrwady know this hut dont wanna get sued for reporting on the info 👀

  8. I accidently bought a Model 3 from Copart and I got lucky for the most part, there wasnt too much damage. But walking into a Tesla service shop was like you killed someone. With their God like complexes from the Tesla employees, getting parts and service was less than stellar. The experience was horrible. I was able to Supercharge for 7 months until recently, when I scheduled a visit with mobile service to replace a part. Immediately after Supercharging was taken away. I honestly belive had I not had Tesla service it, I would still be Supercharging today. Of course the tech denied it and said they dont have the ability to do that, but that total bullshit. Anyways, i really dont see myself using Supercharging since I dont really need the car for long distance driving, but it was nice to know it was there. I can get it recertified but I dont really see a need for it. I get all their policies, but there is no excuse for poor customer service.

  9. Well if you do what I do. I am retired and just drive around town with my model Y and only do charging at home. Buying any kind of shape Tesla is a no brainer.
That is too bad that Tesla has that power to reject super charging on any Tesla product for long trips, rebuilt or not. But I guess that is the way the world turns. They want you to only get their Tesla's fixed by Tesla and more and likely charge us two arms and one leg to get them fixed or inspected and approved.
Thanks for the video and take care.
