“I’ve lost my leatherperson” 😂
Dirt head dave is awesome
I can't believe you don't use an "engine tilter" lift for your engine hoist? So you can adjust the tilt of the motor and trans as you lower, or lift the combo
Get rid of a lot of wasted energy.
Sketchy!
Thank you
Couldn't stop dreaming about mufflers woke up exhausted 😃😃😃
If a guy could choose who he'd like to meet and have a beer with , It'd be you and Dave Chapelle
Derick, my hat is off to you on this one. This truck is a basket case. Dave is an awesome guy and I wish he could work with you all the time. Big cohones to take this project on.
Young man learnt that if you are shorter you lift higher or you get 80% of the weight.
Derek,
Did you get that truck anywhere near Virginia?
I got out of the navy in the mid 90’s.
A couple of days before my discharge happened, I ran into an old dude with a big grey beard.
He was driving a 30’s Ford with a Buick engine……
He gave me a lift to a friends house and in the way made a proposition to me on the truck.
He handed me a list of 8 or so numbers and told me that if I could tell him what those numbers meant, he would give me the truck, said he would sign it over right there.
Of course at the time I had no idea what those numbers meant.
But he was serious about it, had I known he would have given me that truck.
Now, there’s no way to know for sure, but how many 30’s ford with Buick engines could possibly be running around?
I think that your truck, might be the truck I rode in that night.
Little Grip Garage 😆, maybe he needs his own channel. I'd subscribe
Great job guys. Great vid
36:10 "Hopes and dreams" lol thats a good name for the truck
I take a regular tip off my other cans you have to drill the whole out a little but makes your turbo can usable on normal things😂
I just would like to give you a bit more information on the rear end, indeed it is a third gen Camaro Firebird rear end, but is a very rare BorgWarner 9-bolt posi disc, they had only put those in those cars for 2 years I believe 87 and 88 only technically it was a Z28 upgrade there is a series 1 and Series 2 case, if it is series 2 the ratio should be 3.27, hopfully you saved it
Dual wielding Leatherman had me giggling. Stoked on this build. Looks like my daily underneath
28:54 That's a really big jar of Pickles on the toolbox a guy has there…..
