Part 2 of the mini-series! In this video we’ll return the front end to it’s new glory with all the nice matte black Rough County lift parts. You won’t want to miss how this looks sitting on tires again! What a big difference.

My old chevy 4×4 service truck needs more ground clearance to help pull old classic and antique cars and trucks from their grave. I turned to Rough Country who sent over an awesome 6″ IFS suspension lift for this 1989 Chevrolet K2500 truck. I’ll show you how to install these lifts, and eventually, we’ll give it a good test. 1. Early vice grip. I really like the low production value better and the cheap do it yourself messy dirty garage much better. A lot more relatable.

  2. Really like your video I did a 4.5 inch in my 99 but I went with BDS they guarantee everything yes it's way more money i probably could have just went with RC considering mine hardly ever goes off-road

  3. Buddy, if you see this… get a motorcycle jack for the transfer case, and anytime you have to do a transmission or anything. you cal just put a steel plate on it if anything is oddly shaped. it makes the single-handed balancing easier, and less likely for catastrophic failure

  4. This is one of my most favoritest videos ever Derek. I bet you're kind of like me now that you're a little bit older and really appreciate those lifts you have in your shop now

  5. Hey Derek, question, how were you able to get the castle nuts tight for the pitman and idler arms on the Rough Country center link? Putting a new front end in my truck and theres not even room for an open end wrench on it.

  6. would you know where i could get a 6inch body lift kit at for a 1998 4×4 chevy Silverado 1500? I couldn't use a lift kit that is meant for a k1500 could I? it'll be my first time doing something like this and really didn't know would appreciate it, if you could holler back at me and let me know where you think I could get one at or start looking for one at. Thanks. I ENJOYED THE VIDEO BY THE WAY!!!!

  7. What happened around 10:45 in this episode, Derek? It sounded like you had an Ah-Nold Braunschweiger movie on in the background…I thought that I was the only one who cusses out my p/u in German when having a hard time, lol!!
