a guy was stuck in Iowa so I did the right thing and bought a truck off of Facebook sight unseen and I’m going to attempt to drive a 700 miles home pulling a camper

First thought I had looking at this old rig was to move the engine and transmission back in the back seat and drag the thing. I might be way too into silly builds.
Love the truck. Usually not into Americans cars and culture. But this truck is sick 🥵😍 would make an epic town car. For the family with it having 4 doors
The hole camper portion of this video got me lmfao 🤣
Ooohh dont let go of it…😂
The hot sause and mericle whip..😂
I do the same thing!
Went salmon fishing at tippy dam in northern Michigan last weekend and a guy came home with enough whip packs to lube a loaf of bread 😂😂😂
P eastbound and down loaded up and truckin we going to do what they say can't be done but we got a long way to go and a short time to get there😮 eastbound & down rock on bandit run
Boy the bug bomb was some funny moments! Loved this start to finish
A wooden close pin put ut in one of your gas line and that will keep it from vapor locking

best episode ever we use too go camping with this same rig pair of plyers and some bailing wire always made it home. i was wrong a while ago saying you went home episodes product placement too much but i take it back your canada visit was great you pretzeled into your dream car priceless this double cab show was priceless cruising the dead lane trying too make the next exit.i have been into the car and scrap my whole life and im 71 i live in a scrap yard in bc canada love your show your family are very lucky having a man like you cause you know what red green says if a women dont find you handsome she should at least find you handy
Whoever cobbled this dumpster fire together should never touch another vehicle ever.
First get ona those nice 5 core aluminum rads and ditch the a/c stuff less n u want a/c. that restore is junk, it will ruin ur engine starting with the oil pump up. flush it out, put some new lifters a nice single plane weiand manifold and a 750 holley and nice rv cam fix all the leaks and maybe put 323 gears in it or 373 at the most. Get another door, fix the floor and it'll be a really good truck. i absolutely hate air bagged anything but there's nothin u can do about it now. If u wanna flip it let me know
Flippetize it
Derek your a fart smeller I mean a smart feller. Regulators on.
what's the law in america in england we have to have a mot inspection every year and if we get caught with any defects at any time on the road we get towed and fined possibly points on our licence.
Do you realize you made the square bodies that much more expensive and more sought after because of this video! That truck you are driving will eventually be a million dollar truck! Imagine all new modern suspension and the best LS engine in there!! Keep the rust. It’s beautiful ol’ rusty. It’s already cool, you being a driver is a bonus.
I love this truck. I’m sure I’m not the only one. ❤
It’s beautiful. Truck and trailer.
I will be waiting for the Hot wheel vice grip garage exclusive.
Watching your videos really gives me a lot of appreciation for those pony express guys…So many miles flogging a sick horse…
I really miss these older trucks. They just look so durable. My neighbour has one from the 80's, it's like 44 years old now. Thing still isn't rusty even though it's been sitting outside for well.. 44 years. Paint looks AWFUL though.
I want to get one and rebuild it and make it a nice vehicle. New paint, exterior work. Looks like a great first starter vehicle to fix up. Hard to mess it up.
Just want to find one that still has an abundance of parts available. No idea where to start..
Fixing stuff like this looks fun. Thanks for the channel. I love relaxing to your videos on the couch after gardening all day.
Why didn't you do the hood delete?
You stopped in my hometown and I missed it
I would camp man! Cheapest option and you're prepared. Kinda
I would push mine up to 65 mph in certain situations, but it was like driving a tank with the gear differential at the wheels and the gearing of the T400. Definitely a towing machine! I would be happy finding an old crew cab camper special! I'm sure a few guys ordered them down south even if GM didn't specifically make a crew cab special
What's the story on the green Suburban next to your kids pop up?
3000 rpms is spot on 😅
I drove an early '80's Ford 3/4 ton utility van, sans windows with rooster tails inside the cargo area as well as the passenger area. I could even feel the tire rubbing the floor mat beneath my foot when I made sharp right turns! So yeah, it needs pans! Still love the Crew cab. I was a suburban guy, but would prefer a one ton same set up, but a modern diesel.
It's my favorite GM body style! I always say that. I think it's just our generation man. It's decent for what it is, nearly 3 min or so into the video. The underside is what I want to see and the tailgate. How's the frame? Wtf is going on with the suspension? It could be a cool ride
Nothing beats a bearing issue on a haul back home all loaded up!
Nice tweeker rig 😂😂
Dereck, The 3+3 CHEVROLET Truck you bought is just like the 3+3 CHEVROLET Truck my Dad owned in 1973 it was mustard yellow colored. I was 14 years old at the time and my Dad handed me the keys to this fine Truck and drove it down some back roads while we were hunting. Good Times!

Hey Derek, I think I would either flip it or part it out. You could build a mean 454 and put it in something down the road and use the rest of the truck for parts. I'm loving your videos. Keep them up. Wishing I could meet you. God bless.
I’d flip that one😊
Love the blue hue view!!
HA that rhymed.
😂 Derrick is funny
Awesome😍
