Learn how to put in sound deadening and heat reflective material into your car. In this case I was preventing a common wet carped problem due to condensation. The exhaust runs right under the floorboards and causes a lot of condensation and over time that causes the carpets to get damp.

Thank you I fixed my truck
This is probably when he thought he was just going to have a boring old channel. Little did he know we all love Chris Fix!!!
So proud he got it out in 1 big peice lol
there are other and much cheaper options, emergency weather proofing tape or house hole underlayment like the EVA with the foil lining works in a similar manner.
Nice video!
Did you check your ac condensation drain line? when it gets clogged, happens regardless with time, it will start leaking into the cab and the spot you're working on is the first spot that gets wet…
I love ChrisFix' videos, and untill now I have never seen a video that i disagree with. While the installation tutorial is helpfull indeed, I think the explanation of what causes the carpets to be wet is wrong. What is explained at the 1 minute mark contradicts all my knowledge of condensation, heat, and vapor. Condensation is caused by hot air containing a lot of moisture meets a cold surface, like a cold beer. The cold surface cools the air, resulting in the air being less able to hold water, and thus leaving the water on the cold surface. A CAT that heats up the floorboard would contribute to heating the water making it evaporate, and heating the air allowing it to hold more water. Putting insulation in the floorboard would be counter productive to achieving a dry carpet in any instance. Sorry for bad english.
Not just woder. Soapy woder.
I have this problem in my car because of the high heat from the exhaust pipe
Fiberglass?
Is it safe?
They use this stuff on UFO'S. I'M buying some asap
Unless I misunderstood the video, there is no way this was condensation. Condensation occurs when warmer moist air meets a surface that is below its dew point. Heating the surface with the exhaust would reduce the chance of condensation. If this fixed your issue then you may have sealed up a leak point inadvertently. This is simply not how condensation works. If you have a leak, you had better be sure that you have not trapped water underneath, then you will have a real issue.
Y one
Normal people : Water
Chris : Wodder
The water is comimg from behind the dash.there is a heater matrix there thats leaks when its nackered.
Lol your voice is so much worse than your new videos good progression
i know that this is out of topic, but were you mad in all the videos you've made when saying "Hey guys" with that low tone? 😀
where is your enthusiasm bro
Yo man I thought this was a new video (popped up in my feed) and it sounded like you were straight up depressed or not feeling it. Turns out it is just an old video lol. Definitely much more enthusiasm in the newer videos!
How would you do that on the drivers side, if the peddles are on the floor??? (2016 KIA OPTIMA)
No microfiber towels? Haha
Thanks Chris. This mod helped with my "Ranger". All your videos really help me with my "Ranger". XD
