I bought this forgotten 1967 Ford F250 on a farm hours north of where I live. The truck was last plated 24 years ago. I attempt to revive the old truck, and drive it off the property! Plenty of ups and downs with this project! Overall, the trucks in pretty decent shape considering it was left for dead. Think it will start and I’ll make it off the property under it’s own power? Watch and FIND OUT!

Just finished this vid. Best 40+ minutes I’ve spent on Youtube in years. Good vid, fantastic Dad. Subscribed.
Should have strapped the boat tank on the roof and you don’t need a fuel pump 😉 not the safest ride with your son though 😉
Any chance we can get your dad or grandpa in a video if they are still around?
You know those boat fuel line have a primer bulb…unless you like the fuel with brake clean flavour 😉
Good working with your boys, keep up the great work dad!
I did it with a match book also
Those looked like Asclepiadaceae. Definitely a member of the Milkweed family. I am thinking just the common Milkweed. Maybe the swamp variety but I doubt it.
Very Nice ! You and your boys seem to be in tune and they will always remember these adventures.
lol he gave all the specifics of the engine but he knows nothing about fords. 😂
What I do know about fords is I don’t want one.
This is one of my favorite "OG" VGG Video's!
A guy decided to rewatch all a fella's vidjeos. 7/8/24.
Been watching a LOT of your videos lately. Started going back and watching the older ones. Awesome to see how you have evolved your show and revivals. Also awesome to see your unchanging love with the boys! Great video ….
Derek you know Ford's parts are not interchangeable
If I didn't have a pillar gauge or a dwell meter I would set them by the old match pole off
What is that in the background audio at 13:30?
Pressure wash it!
Feeler gauge
I drove a 1972 F350 with a 300 six and a four speed with low first gear. It was a 12’ dump bed with five foot high sides. We used to deliver 14 cubic yards of bulk cypress mulch with that thing. It wasn’t severally overloaded, great!
That engine never failed to start and haul whatever we threw at it. Great vehicle. Thanks for another awesome video
The same way you do matchbook my dad taught me to
Wish I could by something like this always asking to much where I am 😢
You have 2 very nice boys Derek. Good video.
This is the first VGG video that I ever watched.
Fox ihr Lightening and the Rust – Kid Deserves Better than that. 💯 percent better.
I'd love to own that old Ford.. can't find them like that here in texas
Every car I ever had that had points in it ostrich to electronic ignition so I just started a distributor way and drop a new one in and then all the stuff that goes with it
No
This was the very first VGG video I ever watched. Been hooked ever since.
23:12
You should put some oil in a brand new oil filter bro, the bearings run dry until that filter fills up and makes any pressure..
Setting points in Australia,I just stick a 14 to 16 thou feeler gauge in there and tighten her up, in the bush I just put them in and make sure gap is on the smaller side, only need it to start and get home . Having it too wide won't get you anywhere at all… Gotta love vice grip👍👍👍
Still one of the best videos.
I us a match book😊
WOW 😮 thanks
I am never without a pack of cigarettes just tear of the top and it works quite well
I never understood why todays Parts Store Clerks don't check the computer few years before and after. Engines could have been swapped or a part change midyear.
As soon as I saw the pass door I was like cows 😠
What's that sound Haaouh?
Matchbook cover it will run , make sure the felt is on the cam for lubrication.
Pressure wash her
Time you did an old falcon they’re basically a mustang 🤷🏻♂️😉🍻
It's great that your Family works, along with you.
I use a hacksaw blade to set my points
My parents had an old 67 F250 with a 390 for just about as far back as i remember. My grandpa got it for them when i was little. My dad used it as a back up work truck. My mom used it as her back up daily. We would put an air mattress in the back and take it to the drive in movies. I loved it. Unfortunately they didnt really care for it and got rid of it right about when i started driving. I was sad to see it go. Id kill to get one like it some day just for nostalgia. This video brings back great memories
This is the first video of his I ever watched and I was hooked
You are going to have to put a flatbed on it, & get Jessica to drive down to Winslow, Arizona
Derek what is your favorite truck year and make? I would love to get a old truck and would love your opinion. Love the videos and im hooked on your channel. Thank you for letting us be a part of you and your familys lives!!
Awesome seeing Dereks son out there putting in the work, I know I'm 4 years late but better late than never as the old saying goes 😅. This is a great channel, love you guys. Keep up the great work 👍
Owned several Fords with the straight six. Takes a lot to kill one of those. Actually use a feeler gauge to set up my points. Imagine that.
