We’ve officially started on the Cadillac Sedan DeVille! This 4 door hardtop is just too nice, too rare with it’s triple white and too low of miles to ignore! We’re going to start with the interior and freshen it up with a budget. We tear back the old carpet to finally reveal what’s underneath the water-soaked mess. We’ll strip down the floor, prep it, seal it, and paint it. New carpet and a lot of elbow grease really bring this interior back!

Find a hole and stick it up pmsl 😂😂😂😂😂
Detail Geek needs to get a hold of this beauty!!!!
4 gallons to the mile gas mileage is nuthin' to sneeze at. 🤣
Betty White update!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
no duct tape?………..I'm disappointed
Owned the same vehicle myself back in 1984. It drove well but at the time I wasn't as mechanically inclined as today. So after an easily fixble ignition cylinder lock broke I traded it in for '76 C-30 Chevy truck. Another vehicle I wish was still mine.
that's insane that it had standing water deep enough and standing there long enough to leave a rust line like a ring around the tub but the floor pan was totally fine. craziest thing i think i've ever seen. that floor should have been a window to pavement
Beautiful car now.
Glad you and the family work together
OOOFTA MAY
Break out the D-grem.
Amazing that someone could let a beautiful car like that get so damaged by the elements. Automotive abuse.
I wonder what a guy would do if he knew this car was going to be so much work? Probably not. Jessica is a great helper and so are the boys. What a difference Betty White has made in this restoration!
Good find
❤ awesome ❤job
Brings back memories of my dads 70 sedan deville. It was lt brown with brown top. We lived in ny and drove to Colorado to visit my older brother. It was dad mom my other brother and his girlfriend and my younger sister. It was1977 I was 11and could lay down on the rear seat floor for a nap. So comfortable and big. Will never forget that car. Or my parents.
I find doing a initial clean with hot water with a touch of soap on the windows, and wipe dry, paves the way for a final clean and a immaculate clean window.
That would make a nice going to town car for you and your family and another tag team with you and Jessica, you're a lucky man!😊
My father had that exact year when he passed away in 1979 .I would have loved to have it but my Uncle sold it from under us. My parents weren't together then and Mom had no say in the decision. 😢
Oh my.
Had a 73 coupe I loved. Drove like a dream. It had a cadillac 😂compass mounted on center of dash with the crest on it. Never seen another. Must have been dealer add on. Have looked everywhere.

How deep was the water it was in? Salt water? Why?
This car needs to be cleaned up and you put a steer's horns right up above the radiator.
As far as cleaning rubber floormats, the best juice i have used is SuperClean AllWheelCleaner. Yes, a wheel cleaner. I woek in a machine shop and my boots drag in all kinds of gunk from the floor, from machining coolant (water soluble oil), metal chips, hydraulic oil, honing oil, general schmutz. Gets them looking like new. Spray it on, let it soak, then take a wheel brush and scrub a little, rinse with water. Boom, good as new!
You really got me caught up in all your episodes. I learned from you
Nice but hard work 💪

Beautiful smell& very soft
Push the seat back forwarder feller😂
Definitely a going to town car! A fella could ride in style. Just kidding, those were/are beautiful cars.
Derek. Your next move you should get a cleaner and hit your headliner a couple times. Some vacuum cleaners have an attachment that works good for a wet clean
There could be a galvanizing on that floor. I do know GM did some Galvanizing in that era
I pulled the dash out of one of my 70 Chevelles that I just purchased. There was more mice living in side that Dash than in a New York apartment building.Smell was worse than a pig farm. That car looks like it was must have been really nice when they parked it. Somebody didn't have any respect for it when they parked it out in the middle of the cow pasture
Nice going to town rig… it's a keeper 😎👍
Hay Derek, watching Old Vid's. The easy way to get the Back seat front clip to release is to compress the springs in the seat over the locking clip with big pair of flatheaded Vice Grips. Why is it a pair if it's only 1. Only clamp down an inch or 2 and bobs your aunty! Many Meny moons a go, I was in the back seat of an Australian 1986 XF Falcon Ghia wagon going around a Dirt bike track at a rate of knots. Getting Air! And the seat unhooks itself, we were hands on the roof, feet wedged under the front seats.
I've never wanted a Cadillac so bad in my life… Lol!!!🤷
This guy should have been a comedian
On second thought…put a blower on it…😁🤪
Yep…mind blown over how well the floors were…just incredible….I say doll her up an make the family hoop'd for nights on the town….go find a drive in movie…. sneak all your critters in inside the trunk…I've been there done that…
✌️❤️🤘.. from Texas..
To remove the mould: 2 parts isopropyl alcohol, 1 parts dawn dishwashing liquid as a concentrate, add 3 parts water to the concentrate.
red hot sales girl
Dang those floors are usually rotten to death, thats so clean
