  1. Derek you really need to switch to Rain-X washer fluid the orange stuff it doesn't freeze it keeps the bugs off the windows and you don't have to keep applying Rain-X to your window just hit the squirter a couple times and you're good to go that's all I use I don't use the blue washer fluid honestly can't stand the blue washer fluid after using Rain-X cheapest place I found to buy it at Walmart everywhere else it's like $2 more

  2. Yes, I can tell you all about the tale of the Dragon. My GPS brought me up it and threw it with my 40 foot country coach motorhome. It was not a good time thank God it wasn’t busy, but that was my first experience with Taylor of the Dragon, what was really bad as well I was going down the other side. There was a 52 foot semi coming up. It was quite sketchy.

  3. Glad to see a veteran won that beautiful car and it was so sad what has happened to that community and many more that is surrounded that community😢 and vgg has over 2 million subscribers if we all put in $2 a piece think about what all that would do to help them fellow Americans I have been a fan since the beginning of vgg and I don't think I have ever seen Derek ask his fans to help we can do this

  4. Hi from Canada EH! Just wanted to say what an incredible human being you are Derek! The words you said about Asheville and the donations etc sure says a lot about what type of man you are! The cars and trucks are great but you are the reason I watch the VGG.

    Cheers 🇨🇦

  5. Question: is anyone hearing the clicking noise when the car makes a right hand turn? Or is it just me. Either way it’s a beautiful car and I love the show. VGG has a heart of gold. Thank you for your show and for sharing your journeys with us. I like how you get your kids involved. If you ever get the chance and you like the turns of the highways try going on 55 to perryville Missouri then make a right turn onto 34 and follow it to marble hill.

  6. Derek there are multiple diffrent roads real close to the dragon. I prefer the foothills parkway myself, Motorcycle or car.
Bye the way the bridge you crossed at the dam is the same one in the two lane blacktop movie.
If you ever decide to come back this way, let a feller know and we will go see some awsome views.

  7. I used to bear to hunt it years ago and ran across some old timers that were hunting, and the back of their truck had gravel in it .I ask them what it was for and they said we put it in the curves so the motor cycles would wreck 😢I had some choice words for them idiots and one girl wrecked and got hurt I told them exactly what they looked like and what they were driving I never hunted it again.

  8. If you ever get out to Denver, CO, be sure to try to visit the Forney Transportation Museum, very similar to the Virginia Transportation Museum. Has many antique, vintage, and classic cars, plus trains/locomotives. A "must see" if you visit Denver.

  9. Derek, thanks for the trip down memory lane. When I was in college in Knoxville, that was literally my path over the river and through the woods to my grandmother's house, when she lived in Murphy North Carolina. I have driven that road dozens of times in sports cars, to mini vans, and everything in between. Since then, I've lost my ability to walk, and drive, so this was a very nostalgic, if a bit bittersweet, video to watch

  10. What a great video. Derek, if you had been on The Dragon earlier in the day, a company called "Killboy" usually has photographers in the tight corners taking photos of all the vehicles that go by. Just make a note of the time you're there, and the day, and you can go to their website and see their pics of you. There are some other awesome roads in that area. Cherohala Skyway is spectacular, and Wayan Road (1310) from the Nantahala Whitewater raft launch site towards Franklin is awesome also. My brother has a camp right ON the Nantahala Whitewater, just a short distance upstream from the NOC, and my buddies and I go up there and stay for days at a time on our motorcycles.
