In todays episode i spend too many hours freaking out about the possibility of not fitting in the Z, and then i get back to work test fitting all panels and start on roll cage placement.

  1. Delete the top support on the frame rail and put a new one underneath. You will suffer if u dont have enough leg room

  2. look into an older jaguar brake system…..no booster. It uses an accumulator system and is very small and most of it mounts else where from the fire wall

  3. I felt this way when I bought my first RX8 fucking tiny. im 5' 11" but im also 220 pounds at 8 percent bodyfat. (im a body builder) it sucked but I got used to it.

  4. You should consider redoing the frame.
why not eliminate the doubled box-section where it goes down?

With a roll cage installed there will not move anything!
don't think, that the Frame needs much material to stabilize everything. Build smart!

    Good luck!

  5. I worked in the auto glass industry for a couple years, the metal trim is the retaining ring for the glass. Just ask for a black plastic retaining strip for the gasket.

  6. I think if you do a ews delete and I think kanbus delete you'll be able to use a race pack… Because on my e30 m62 swap I did a ews delete and I'm running my e30 cluster and keys…

  7. So back to reading comments? Damm, I would have said something about leg space before if I knew.

But with so "clever" speeches like the one asking for emails if someone had something "important" to say because you read ALL comments, many feel more motivation on sitting and waiting for failure than on giving feedback. And failure arrived, what a surprise.

You are trying to buid a sports car taking parts from a wide body M5 and fitting them on on a narrow old car with a chassis that looks tailored for a Ford T or a truck. And you want to make it low too.

Shoudnt you be doing something more like this?

… and putting the engine more to the front? you have now a mid engine, it is almost completely behind the front axle, guess why you have close to none leg space…

You have two M5, one that you can cut if needed… and one that you can measure. Do you think you can put the engine closer to the driver than in the original car? no? yes? how much? You moved it too much, but it was not a guesswork, it was a measure one… damm it.

  8. Hello if you have the car radio that you do not need me you can send it to me that you pay for my broken and since you have a Bmw 5 series for spare parts I ask you … 🤗🤗🤗

  9. Just trim the dash and make a small firewall between the wire and then the dash too if that is even possible, just trying to think outside the box

  10. Racing organizations specify a certain range of tilt that a main hoop can have. You should check how your proposed angle compares with the ones NASA or SCCA suggests for safety reasons.

  11. I know you said you ordered slim sparco seats, but if those don’t work you could look into those Kirkey racing seats that are pretty minimal and I think they have quite a few different sizing options
