The exhaust sounds really good.
If i ever get like 50k $ i swear i will buy old datsun chasis and mount a 3 rotor inside.
Every light on your dash is on
Kevin from New Zealand here. have watched this build with amazement. Great choice of body and motor. Only comment on the body is remove those ugly front wide bodies or at least fill in that horrible cut out in them. Please put the bonnet on looks like a cheap hot rod without, instead of a cool Q car. Engine wise I think the M3 V8 would have been a better choice. Smooth, light reliable power. A mate of mine has one in an e30. Brilliant motor and has had no problems.
you never wanna rev while cold that casues the rod bearing issues on s85
I miss this car kinda sad that its probably sitting Outside
Luckily you can check a computer to see what it wrong with the cars now days. But 47 years ago you couldn't. They had to check those manually by hand every single part to see what was going on. The technology has come a long way.
I lately found your channel and funny thing is that i knew this is going to happen in the same moment you said that you will use two different wheel size! Sorry I could not tell you that as I am watching the whole series now LOL. I had similar experience with bigger wheel on the back of my E46 the stability control was going crazy and stopping my wheels on the corners ;). Funny was that in my example the difference came from the size of the tire it was 45 on the back and 40 on the front lol
Really good job, congratulations for your car!
but I think If you tried to build up the Datsun Z340 with the new model Nissan Z370, I wondering if was better idea, because then we talking about for 100% Nissan car, and the value will be for sure more higher!
That sick that it has GPS need to put a stereo in it. And fog lights
You should build a cubby in the back for the wires Chris and all the computers and just hook everything up that way you have no problems all of them are in there for a reason you should technically go through and hook up most of everything that would make it a genuine BMW on the inside I kind of am stumped out why you wouldn't anyway when it's all right there for you to use just a thought maybe on the next one shoot for that LoL
Oh hey Chris I forgot to also tell you brother spray those rotor calipers and back of rotor housing black would look much better
Good job bro….
I once worked on a '73 Capri with a crank rough idle. Conclusion, missing air filter alowed a pebble in to the combustion chamber and it destroyed cylinder #2. Id like to see the velocity pipes for shows only.
At least show us an burnout
find out what codes your tuner disabled if any. He may have them set not to report an error which could leave you with the problem you're facing with no DTC's to look at
Does Eric have a YouTube channel
The M5 did come with staggered tires factory,
285/40r19
255/45r19
As long as the rolling diameter of the tires are the same (the height of the tires) the speed sensors would be happy
I love Chelsea…. so hot …
What would you call this? A BMW 240Z or a Datsun M5?
What is eric's @?
Kool, glad u stuk wth it. Nic job!
nooooooooooooooooooooooo. use the rear sensors and emulate them, so you still have traction control
Chris! Do 11s (burnouts) before the snow comes! Find a track/closed road before the bad weather comes!
Ooh I wanna see and hear that S85 roaring 10kRPM down the road!!! I can imagine the feeling when all the bugs are sorted out, and that purring engine… Show us more please!!!😎
This may be your best episode. Enjoying the build.
Hey Chris were you planning on doing a rear strut tower brace?
Nice job I can see your satisfaction after that one priceless
Have you checked your oil filter after you changed the bearings?
Swap a manual transmission
You should not be abale to drive a bmw with the doors open. I cannot with mine , It does not go into limp mode but automatically shifts to park when I release the brakes. Tryng to put again on drive and I will always shifts to neutral. I can drive it in reverse though .
Yes!!!!!!! Keep working on the z
