Checkout ALL of our new merch at http://cleetusmcfarland.com and maybe get a Nitrous Kit in your order!!! McFarland Science returns!!! We had to test one of our old experiments but this time with diesel fuel as oil! Gasoline was a disaster, let’s see how the diesel holds up!

Diesel atoms are more "compacted" with more hydrocarbons than gasoline which is why it feels oilier and thicker. It stores more energy but burns slower. Think of it like firewood. Dry birch will light quick and burn hot, but oak will burn pretty hot and slow because it's a denser wood.
Thats a Ford engine for you. Know yall need to test an LS and see what happens
Melted butter.
The next step is obviously methanol
Garage54 did this as well recently if people want more of this type of content.
Both being refined from crude oil, the difference is, the hydrocarbons that make up gasoline are shorter and less dense, making it more volatile. Diesel however, the hydrocarbons that make it up are longer and more tightly packed making it less volatile then gasoline and therefore can't be ignited by conventional means such as spark plugs, meaning the use of super high compression ratios (in comparison of gasoline) to heat up the air/fuel mixture and forcing ignition, or the use of glow plugs which preheat the air within the cylinder then combined with high compression ratios cause it too ignite. Like the pinned comment says diesel contains more energy per parts per million hence why diesels are torque machines
surprised this didnt get taken down for the diesel fire situation LMAO
How about cooking oil or olive oil?
What about cooking oils? Vegetable, canola and some other kinds
U got to build that Holden Ute U have n make the next build with LSA motor like the Aussie Maloo ute with is the fastest utility in the world ðŸ™ÂÂ🇦🇺
Love this type of material from you guys! ðŸ˜â€Â
Try mnt dew. I know it’s a crime to waste it but just for science
Maybe see what cooking oil runs the best next time.. a little extra virgin olive oil, vegetable oil, canola oil, coconut oil, flack seed oil idk
Some semi truck drivers add some 2 stroke oil to the fuel tanks. Give that a try and see if it lasts longer.
Next I wanna see dishwashing liquid
I’d like to see the diesel drained out
Frying pan oil. Olive oil. Sun burn protection oil.
Did you check the level when filling up?
Ha ha she probably died of natural causes…
Proof the 4.6 2v is built to handle tons of abuse
you can take an engine with sludge in it and put diesel in the crankcase and just let it idle up to temperature and it'll clean the crap out of the engine. squeeky clean
