In 8:16 to 8:40👋 You said the metal has been heated and expanded then cooled down and then contracted causing the wobbly panels!ðŸ¤â€Â Well you just explained on how to fix it with heat and cooling before paint with something like dry ice and a torch or After paint with a heat gun and by spraying upside down of the liquid out of a canned air too cool it down and contracting the metal in the high and low parts of the metal with a straight edge against the metal Sheet panels. Thus fixing the wobbly panels.🤷â€ÂÂ♂ï¸ÂÂðŸ‘ÂÂ🌎✌
Hi. Paint your truck a light color and your wobbles will be much less noticeable. Will be much cooler too.
You could always buy an old semi trailer & use the panels from that. Would be a lot of drilling out rivets, but would get you 2 lengths of 50' walls of good material for a few grand.
Look at any modern navy ship. Loads of "wobberlies" where the panels. Now i would paint it to match that navy ship look and hide it in plain sight!
I saw a Tesla truck on the road. Apart from being even uglier in person, it also had noticeable wobbles in its panels.
This truck needs red accents soo bad. Look at the A-Team Van for reference…..
Can’t wait to see this thing fold in half like very other camper converted pickup truck.
Are the tyres the correct weight rating for all that extra load?
That thing is gonna be hot A/F in the summer. Good luck to your A/C unit.
I wonder if bead rolling all of the panels before you burned them in would help with the wobble. You should name it Wobbles.
Are you doing a suspension upgrade and bigger rubber?
Black roof?
This can get tough.
If raptorliner is available in other colors, I suggest using white on the top.
This is lots better temperature wise. Otherwise your AC (if any) has got a hell of a job to do.
Wood grain those side lol ðŸ˜â€Â
That misting trick you were talking about is what I have always used to get the perfect satin paint job out of a can of Rustoleum gloss black. Best part is, it's on my grille and last longer than roll bar paint 😂
what they use these days on cars is panel bond ,it does the same job as welding and seals the panels too
You can avoid uneven sides by putting it together when it's really hot, so you assemble it at max temp it will ever see, like they do with railways.
Anyone will get upset when they are called out! I hope you get what you should out of the yacht!
Hello guys, all that black would be a perfect white lettered B IS FOR BUILD logo.
I like it. But I think you need AEV Front Fenders and AEV Wheels with 40 inch tires.
Tyger side step is amazing and It will match your paint job perfectly!
Needs more black
Please do wheels and tires those wheels date it so bad
Why are all your comments smart asses? Scrolled for a few seconds and didn’t see a single positive comment. Y’all are doing the impossible and making it look easy. Keep doing what you’re doing 🤙 It’s looking great!
2 minutes working and 30 minutes talking… I remember when it used to be the other way around 🙁
To fix the wavies, you could anneal and heat treat the whole camper section lol I don't remember if its welded on or not though.
Make sure ya look into adding some camera's, seems like alot of blind spots.
Everything is heavy and made from steel on this channel. The rear suspension is creaming already. 🤯
The box on the back door is driving me nuts at an angle!!
One way to eliminate those issues is by beding the ends of the sheets metal and make a close hem to provide more rigidity to the sheet.
Next build should be Raptor coating a Cyber Truck
That’s called a drop coat, use it for metallics too if you’re having an issue getting it to lay even you come back with a wider spray pattern and a bit more distance from your panel and spray it medium wet at a 45° diagonal pattern so for instance a fender you would spray from the top right of the panel diagonally down to the bottom left with a 50% overlap. The eye can’t see that angle in metallics on a panel so it can help hide any issues with striping and mottled looking flake if that makes sense. Works great with textured and satin clears too.
A contrasting thin stripe down the sides would help the looks IMO.
It needs bigger weels
If KITT the 1982 Pontiac Trans Am Knight Rider, was a truck. 😂
Put a red light bar in the hood!
You should’ve wrapped it
Oh now everyone’s worried about it being hot. What happened to it being too heavy 😂
A wobbley is crazy 😂😂
Throw the window glass in, lights on, and take it for a test drive!
I've used bed liner a few times, and find using a primer gun with a 1.8 or 2mm tip and 15% reducer and a wide fan is perfect for the final drop coat.
Lulz at insurance…
What have you done to treat the metalwork that’s directly above the roof of the truck? Is that still bare steel or was it treated prior to fitting it?
Ugly. Can't stand rhino-lined vehicles. It's the halfass way to go. It would have looked so much better with more time in body work and a cool RV-style vinyl wrap.
I hope you can continue to give us the bare facts on the insurance process. I am also the type to be blunt and speak my mind about how my interactions go because perspectives are fascinating and illuminating. When I catch a mistake I made, sharing that makes it a lesson for more than just myself. Therefore I'm curious to see what the "consequences" are about your being honest about your situation. I'm willing to bet that there might be some intimidation being used against you, because going public usually works against the party at fault. Plenty of people have their ears open for examples of when insurance tries to exempt themselves. I wonder if there weren't so many schmoes trying to commit insurance fraud, if providers would ever try to play dirty, back.
It is the batcamper truck hahahah
