Yea that OCD and yea that's smart to to put them on spinning like that
I know this is a older video but I'm just now seeing it. The only time I messed with tubes was when I was a Harley tech. And I used pretty much thr same process. I put baby powder in the tire, mounted 1 side, installed the tube and aired it up to get the wrinkles and and bunching out. Then I let the air out, installed the other bead and aired it back up a final time.

I can understand the concept of shawn by doing what he talking about cause it takes the stress off the twist the tube cause of the location of the valve stem
Has anyone ever changed just 1 lug nut on his car so the colors don't match
Pretty sure I think about this stuff the same way – go the extra mile if there's more consistency and insurance for potential problems. There's only 4 of these things keeping your triple digit MPH chassis that you're strapped into in contact with the ground, tires aren't a bad thing to waste a little extra time on. Nevermind that we're trying to maximize the amount of quality passes at the track too, if catching a wrinkle saves a pass from being a throw away, then it's worth it.
I see it as being consistent, but we all have are things
I will forever be wondering what the roll out of the other tire was
I write the diameter ("roll out") on the inside side wall of the tire as soon as I measure it. Helps me not forget or mix 'em up later.
Hey Sean….. as you give us the steps and tell us how you have to do yours is awesome. I love it. But the definition of OCD is exactly what’s happening each time you say “it might not be the right way or best way, but this is how I do it. This is how it has to be every time and if not or there’s a blemish I will start over. This make me happy and calm and relaxed†lol not being a dick. I’m EXACTLY the same. Not with everything in life. Just those certain things that mean most to us or are some how close to. I always said I’m not OCD either but in reality it is but the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem…. Always remember your not alone. Come to the dark side🤣🤣🤣😳😳
I like your idea I'm a road racer, but still I've had trouble with porous tires over the years.
The og is shaking just sitting there
Love your videos keep them coming. The car that started it all
Exactly the way I've always done the tire tube it's the way it should be done !
I do the same thing with my sand pads
Good info, I was wondering about some stuff you covered in there! Keep it up.
Sounds OCD, but that's the proper way to do bicycle tires too. Baby powder, partially inflate the tube, get the tube placed in the tire nice and relaxed, seat the tire, air it up, air it down, check how happy everything is, then air it up to final pressure. When you're going as fast as you go on a drag strip, or as fast as I go on a skinny little race bike, the last thing you want to worry about is a tube letting go because it chafed through.
Excellent video & probably the only one out there Great job
Hi what does tires in Tubes do? Does that help it with Traction or?
Quart of butt lube in the tire works damn good

U can Buy a Air Deflater . to suck the air out of the tube . that is what i use .
