Fighting electrical gremlins the first two days, this Twin Turbo ZL1 Camaro got off to a rough start but managed to pull it together and run some consistent 7s while surviving the challenges of Rocky Mountain Race week presented by RPM Magazine! Traveling from Nebraska to Colorado and back tackling the struggles of maintenance and durability while trying to maintain consistency is the perfect balance of competition for the true Street Car enthusiast!

    I'm guessing since they had electrical problems, the ignition briefly cut out allowing the muffler to fill with raw fuel, and when the ignition came back it when kaBOOM

    This is why I'll never run a muffler on a high hp drag car. You have so much of that pressure being shot out the exhaust into a muffler, which is basically a box that bottlenecks the air. It's like putting a water bottle on the end of a leaf blower

    easy to judge people think a race car is just put together 1.2.3..not realizing the amount of time the trial and error process of breaking and blowing things till you got a perfect setup 98% of these commenters never even went 7s down a drag strip including me but ino know what it takes to build one of these beast and how often they give problems
