10. Must be a lot of rust out there if he's finding those things in junkyards so easily. I've scoured several junkyards in the Carolinas and haven't found any trucks younger than early 90's. I know two places that will pull them and sell them to you for $600 with no guarantee and not even a bar over on the engine.

15. Gotta love the 5.3's. Built very strong from the factory, and the fact that you can take a stock 5.3l v8 making 315hp, then put a cheap turbo on it to make it squeeze out 750hp, says a whole lot. Considering putting a 5.3 in my Nova. Love the 350, but want bigger power potential without changing everything in the block. Will surely be switching 5.3 to carburetion.

22. Now maybe the time for some MOPAR under the hood? It is; Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep family, so maybe throw in a Hellcat motor in there and see what she does as is and take it from there. You might even be able to get a sponsorship/donated motor with the amount of money Dodge is throwing around the internet to showcase their stuff these days. If it's capable to haul the heavy asses of the Challenger and Charger, it should be pretty potent in the willys chassis.

    Or go for a classic iron block 6.1 or something, might finally keep the nose down, and keep that aluminum silliness from always blowing up.

37. Brother, you have some shitty luck. I see guys push out almost 1000 HP through bone stock LS engines all the time, how you've gone through 2 in a week or two, something is definitely going wrong.

39. I'm a Ford guy and all this, "get you a XXXXXXX motor" or w/e is annoying. I keep telling people it doesn't matter. It's an junkyard engine. it won't last. No matter what it is. Brand has nothing to do with it. A worn engine is a worn engine period.
