  2. Youre running 2600rpm max, what do your engine produce at those revs? Probably only half of what is stated at peak. I'm assuming this still has the diesel drive train/props? (I don't know boats). I think you need to be looking at how to get your engines to rev.

  3. Is there too much prop on the boat?
    Looked like about 2700 rpm at WOT?
    Those LS should spin a bit faster than that. Not necessarily on the rev limiter but should be able to pull 4000-4500 at WOT.
    Which should be closer to the fat part of the torque curve.
    Will be a little slower at marina speeds as well.

  4. You lost me with the mpg of the diesel vs your gas. If your acquaintance is getting 1 mile per a half gallon wouldnt he get 2 miles per a full gallon? You said hed get 1.3 miles per a whole gallon. Did i miss something? There wAs alot of numbers .

  5. have you changed the props after switching from diesel to gasoline? diesel props are bigger and your engines are struggling. you should reach max RPM at WOT. matching props is an art, but basically you want to still get close to max rpm of the engine. also wonder if transmision grear ratio is correct for gasoline engines.

  6. Great progress! You’ll definitely need very different props. To be honest I’m not sure but you might even need to change the gearing..
    also I wouldn’t repeat the metal brush idea on the non-skid.. There’s some dedicated cleaning products for that purpose 🙂

  7. Your props and Transmissions are geared for diesel. You need different pitch props and higher gear ratio on your Transmissions. You should be able to cruise @ 4000 rpm and 35mph. Top out @ 43-45.

  9. The front is buried too far down in the water, raise the tabs. Only about half the boat should be in the water at full speed.
    Also, less aggressive propellers so the engines can make it into their power band.
    You don't need them to go to redline, just a smudge past powerband wide open.

  10. Chris, buy a bottle of starbrite non skid deck cleaner. 100% succes! The wire brush will damage the non skid / epoxy layer. Please like this post so hé will see it.
