If you are printing large panels, you can KEY the parts so they will snap together, making gluing much easier.
If you have the area in your 3D printer bed. Then you should also be able to print multiple parts at one time. Just upload two or even more parts as one file. You will need more 3D printer filament.
You need to match the front wheel arch design to the rear arch design to balance the design, imo
Nice! Could you share the software you were demonstrating, please? Thx Chris!
I absolutely love Brad’s concept. The way he resolved the negative space in between the front fender and the door is beautiful as is the entire design. I also disagree that the front fender looks empty. I’m not sure if it’s the aggressive peak on top or the extreme width distracting me from it but the empty side area really doesn’t bother me at all. It looks unique and amazing.
If I were you I’d ditch those wheels and go with some more insane specs to stay true to his original vision. Not being able to turn is a worthwhile sacrifice for something so crazy looking if you ask me.
Also, speaking as someone who’s tried and succeeded (after numerous failures) to print parts for cars, I was definitely waiting for you to mention the part about the scale issue. I quickly learned that modeling and printing is the easy part but the real challenge is making sure your base model is truly accurate. I found that the only real way to do that with any confidence is with a scanner. In my experience game models are never accurate.
Either way, this is my favorite one of your builds to watch and I’m excited to see it come together.
I remember when this was a car building channel…now its just a jerry springer show…
Please make a mold!!!!
Someone will DEFINITELY wanna kit!$$!!
If I was making a whole new body for a Lambo i would make it out of carbon fiber. Not just for looks but for the strength and lightweight properties.
LEGOS!!! Hey, I've seen other 3D printers who put Lego like connecter to the end of each part to keep them together as they dry after gluing them parts together. ðŸ˜ÂÂ
Oscar is an artist.
This is why i love your channel. Always going at it a little different way.
Talk to Prusa about a Prusa XL. He would love to be a part of building a European car!
Your part that you said is bulging out because you think you have a printer bed too hot is called an elephant's foot
On your 3d printing have you thought about reusing your waste of you PLA. They make a Shredder that will take the waste an it melts it back to reusable PLA. You have to keep all your black together. An on changing your size you can't just add to your Is height weight and length. You need to make it bigger from pulling from the angle so it adds the size of the height weight an length at the same time. Are you worried about the heat from the out side temperature warping the PLA. I know I have had it happen. Good luck love the channel been watching for long time.
Looking good!
30:30 Raptor liner Lambo!!!!!
Can we have a fleet update please? Gather all the builds you have in a parking lot or something and go through them all and their current statuses.
This is the b is for build content I fell in love with!!!
What slicing software is that
I like the idea of front fender wings, like at top of wheel arch, something ive been thinking of as a new trend
That key express company, people on youtube are advertising is not good, they just a call center and sub out jobs to shady locksmiths who then try to overcharge customer on site, its a scam. Im a locksmith and auto locksmith for 20+ years, you should stop advertising for them and vet your sponsors better, sorry
I think it is going to be one of the coolest looking mercies out there.
Careful with pla staying in there. It’s fantastic for quick prints and things that are mostly indoor use, but its glass transition temp is way too low for something that will be baking in the sun. I would not leave it in the spoiler, it will soften inside there and could potentially cause other issues down the road.
If you need something 3d printed that is for outdoor use abs or asa. (Abs is cheaper, but asa is better for most things)
The waviness on the bottom shouldn’t be from the pla melting into the bed unless you’re running that bed super hot. 40-60c on the bed, if it’s higher than that then it’s too much. I assume that’s a compounding elephant foot from not having a great first layer/not leveled/the first layer having an extrusion multiplier.
Also, if you’re not printing with a 0.6 or 0.8 nozzle you definitely should, it will SIGNIFICANTLY increase your print speed, with only a slight decrease in quality.
Very cool one off idea !
I like the design a lot, one thing if nobody else mentioned that I’d change is the front seems like it needs a little more aggressiveness in it. Just doesn’t feel like it’s as aggressive as the rear. Also like mentioned in the video, those fenders for sure need something added with all the space on there. Can add vents possibly? Idk either way can’t wait for the next upload!
def make a mold.
Amazing work – Amazing collection. Thanks
Carkeys express sounds like a super interesting alternative to the dealer. One of the first ads of yours that I didn't just fast forward through
you should use ASA and petg glue to bond it,its way better for what you are using it for
I’m local can’t wait to see this one driving in town.
Try gloop it basically welds the 3d prints together then if toy use the plastic welder it will give you even more support
I hope the orange and black render is the colour your going with, it looked soooo much better than all blackðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»
Why make everything wide body?
I am sick of everyone making cars into wider than they should be….
@DDE is considering a kit for their Murci..😂
make and keep molds!
It is really cool to see a 3D printed body kit.
However, yet another wide body?! Come onnnnnnn… they’re hideous, swan neck spoilers are the worst looking spoiler I’ve ever seen, and hasn’t this channel already built like 15 different wide bodied cars already?! Do something different, scrap this project and use the motor in something else.
And for the love of God STOP BUILDING SEMA BUILDS HIDEOUS JUST SO THEY GENERATE BUZZ!!! Build a great car with style!
Gives me super birds vibes it just doesn’t mix I don’t think
I like the rear I hate hate hate the front over fenders
Pontoons in the back 👀
I think you should stay true to the render and leave the empty space on the fender
Amazing work on that radiator Oscar!
The black on black is deadass a transformer. That is like cyberpunk nightrider. Incredible work lads.
I'd love to see some more carbon fiber work 😀
