Please consider doing a roof scoop instead. The windshield is the only aerodynamic down force you have. If you cut out half of it all that force is going to be on one side of the car. I don't have to tell you how unstable that can be. Good luck!

This is an amazing build! When it's done, you need to race it against Kamikaze's El Camino.
You should get someone that is actually qualified in designing aircraft to sketch out a design for the intake. I could do it but my hands are tied (Kidding). But you seriously need a bellmouth like opening, and thrust vectored exaust controlled by an onboard computer so that you can keep optimum down force and minimum drag.
