The Texas Invitational is traditionally a roll race…. but that wasn’t stopping these two GT-R owners from testing out their launch control against each other. Man, let me tell you, one of the closest races of the weekend! Not insane horsepower cars, but a damn good race!

next time close the window 🙂 but nice race
good one
good one
I have Toyota supra with 900hp
GREAT RACE!
Lmfao @1B, exactly. Dont know why they talk shit about a car most of these broke fuckers cant even afford. Also its still scary that the r34 can still keep up with the GTR.
I actually got to see an R32 up close in personal. Check out my channel
Same to goes to you. You are incapable of seeing points of the other side as well.
I need a GTR!
Hell Yes.
Fuck yeah… That's gonna be pretty sweet. Maybe these GT-R guys can see what they should've waited for! 🙂 Skyline ftw.
Oh, sorry bout that. And I can't wait till they can be imported without a hitch.
Hence why I put "Skyline" in parentheses dude. I'd also opt for an R32 specifically because of the price I mentioned in my earlier comment. My buddy that was stationed in Japan said R32 GT-Rs go for roughly 5000 USD. R32s are getting closer and closer to becoming legal to import into the states with little trouble.
Great race!
The black one would have got further if it had its windows up
Why do people hate these cars
There's no reason to have loser talk., GTR's a bad ass fück'n ride, the only people crying about it are losers. I love speed, g-forces, and smoking everything on four or even two wheels.
thanks for proving my point 🙂
*New GTR obviously….*
The new Obviously GTR out performs the old GTR in every way, but since when did owning a GTR mean a lack of driver skill.
The R35 is actually not a Skyline. They pulled the Skyline name from it. If i had the option, I'd have an R32. My buddy got lucky with one of the few R32's I've seen in the US(believe it's a V-Spec II). It's a fun fucking car.
I coulda swore I saw one, oh well. No, I have no knowledge of the Viper really. I could care less about those cars lol. The reason it is so criticized is because of how much it differs (in bad ways) from it's predecessor. Some people like the smoothness and drivability for a driver of any skill level, but I think there's more people out there that are hardcore enthusiasts that prefer the older Skylines for what they are.
You still stated most. Off of what statistic are you using to state most owners jump on the band wagon? Comments like those have no validity in them at all. It's getting to be a common car at the road course. It's inexpensive for the tier of car it is and easy to drive.
It is an assisted car. I never denied that, but saying people get the car because they are bandwagon jumpers is a very ignorant comment.
If you want a car that doesn have awd/tc/sc/paddle-shift, get an older Viper. And you call me narrow minded yet you pidgeon hole people who own GT-Rs as "bandwagon riders". Pot meet kettle.
Fashion trend? Also what majority is this? You don't have statistics so stating that there is a majority is inconclusive. I've owned a wide range of cars from Corvettes, Supras and what not and the GT-R is the best car I've owned. You also have to understand that many big dog cars out there today are AWD, Every current sports car out there save for older generation Vipers have traction control. And many have paddle shifters. So what is your gripe? It just sounds like you don't like the GT-R.
You are entitled to you opinion but saying people are getting GT-Rs are jumping on a bandwagon is ignorant and stupid at best. There are people who don't like computer assists, but also you have to understand that the average driver doesn't have time to become an expert driver or really cares to do so. Some people just want a car that is easy to drive. You can call that being inexperienced but the GT-R was a car built for everyone from novice to purist. You can always turn the assists off too.
There was no TSB for cabin heat in due to the transmission,. Also it does not get "extremely hot from the transmission. I think you are confusing that with the Viper which gets really hot from the transmission.
The GT-R went up a tier in performance and should be smooth and easy to drive too. The GT-R is hands down the most criticized car on the market today.
That's what she said!
Completely agree. A rough estimation is every 100lbs lighter is typically .1 sec faster in the 1/4 mile
NISSAN.!!
I can relate, I've heard someone call a normal C6 a Z06… Every car has quirks man, don't be so quick to bash the old RB Skylines for their problems. GT-Rs get extremely hot in the cabin from radiant transmission heat. I believe there was even a TSB about it, I'll look it up today. No, all those cars are exotics and deserve to be smooth and easy to drive. Skylines have always been sports cars for a driver so in this case… Comparing a GT-R to those cars is irrelevant regardless of performance.
LOL you don't understand that some people want to drive their car and not fight with it. This whole bandwagon jumping thing is the fact that the car performs and is a solid platform. If going to a car because it's good is bandwagon jumping then I guess a lot of people bandwagon jump on popular cars lol.
I'm sorry you don't understand the car or it's purpose. Have you actually taken one around a track?
Your average person couldn't tell the difference from the ZR1. And no the GT-R isn't the worst generation "skyline" of them all. It doesn't have the oiling problems or the major reliability problems of the skylines. It's not a torque less wonder either. It also is a must nicer car in fit and finish. So what makes it a "worse" car? Because it uses a dual clutch transmission instead of a 6 speed. If that was the case the 458 italia, Aventador, veyron, and mclaren mp4 would be horrible cars lol.
Very nice!
I can agree on that, except I'm more of a 90s era car guy myself. I think there was just enough good technology back in the 90s, without all the new garbage I don't like in the cars we have today!
LMAO @ it sounds like a 350z though! That's comedy! I guess everyone is entitled to there own ignorant opinions though. Neither Miguel or Sean's car sounds anything like a 350z. Might wanna watch the video again, or just go browse for something else.
Makes no sense how people come on here to complain "oh look another GTR" that WOULD be in the title of the video. It's also so funny to me that Sean has come from the big power domestic world after being with him for four years I can honestly say that the GTR MOVES. The c5 z06 with 1100hp the c6 z06 with 750hp.. The ACR Viper with the same power as the GTR (650). It's a little crazy what a little traction will do for you! Either way Sean has an extensive background in building high horse power.
Finally… Someone that sees a car beyond how much power it makes or how fast it goes. The "R35" has a bunch of goodies, is comfortable, fast, and consistent… But the old generation of Skylines are more pure bred drivers cars. And that's what I think a sports car should be. I think they made it into a low end exotic and I don't like that. I love the R32 as well, if I ever get stationed at Yukota AFB in JP I'm picking one up! My buddy says GOOD R32 GT-Rs go for ~5000 USD over there! Fuck yes.
