That Opel is viscous. What kind of transmission is it running, A Powerglide ?
All the Audi and BMW junk is screaming at 9,000 rpm while the LS is loafing along at about 5000 . Thats how Ford won the 1967 le Mans 24 hours with their 427 NASCAR engine Mark 4's. They never turned them more than 5000 rpm and still won.
