35. What you need for more speed is more disk area on the main propeller not more pitch on the blades. Back around 2000 I built a hovercraft from SEVTEC plans up in Seattle and we used 5 foot diameter props off of ultralight aircraft and only had to powered it with a 22 hp Briggs & Stratton lawn tractor engine.
