I decided to sign up for the Xtreme Xperience track day at Mid America Motorplex last weekend and it was a blast! I was able to compare a Lamborghini LP560-4 to a V8 Audi R8.

Granted I drove the convertible Lambo, I have to give my favorite to the R8 hands down, it handled better, felt more powerful, sounded TONS better (due to the exhaust on it) and was much more comfortable .

NOTE: I don’t consider myself to be an amazing driver, this is the second time I’ve run on a road course, so if you want to criticize my driving to feel better about yourself, feel free 😛

  1. i drove this car at CMP this year, very fun. that exhaust note – oooooh, so good. pretty good driving, maybe keep those hands planted at 9 and 3!

  2. How about you use a tad bit of common sense before talking shit on a video. I do like how you can say you'd drive it better given you're sitting watching this youtube. Now think for a second, 1320 has a zr1 which is a manual. You get in a car when you're not used to shifting with paddles obviously your timing will be off. But yet you can damn sure tell he can drive. So do us a favour and stop being such a condescending little fuck.

  3. Thank you for your reply! The track would be in Colorado Springs, I was stoked to see you guys that close. Also thank you for that discount code, helps make my decision easier! With any luck Ill book it soon and hope to see you guys! Again, thanks for the reply!!

  4. Also, my dad drove the Gallardo and then the F430, and had the same experience as me. Didn't enjoy the gallardo at all, but had a big old grin after getting out of the ferrari

  5. I just did the same thing over the weekend. I drove the v8 R8 first and then the Gallardo lp560. The Audi didn't feel more powerful (obviously v8 vs v10) but the lamborghini felt really sloppy. To be honest going into it a gallardo has always been my dream car, but after driving them both I enjoyed the R8 WAY more. Who knows I may have just been more comfortable with the R8 b/c of owning an S5 before, but was definitely disappointed in the Gallardo.

  6. He drove a lambo before the Audi though. Why do people waste time to make arguments out of other peoples posted videos..NO POINT WHTSOEVER enough said

  8. It's funny that you think you'd be such a pro behind the wheel of that car but i guarantee you wouldn't have the balls to push it as far as he did.

  9. id be more understanding if it was his first time driving a car…. but

anyone with half an idea knows to gear down before the corner, not shuffle their hands while cornering and not over rev such a beast unless you know what your doing.

I'm just jealous its not me driving an r8…. i would've driven it much better given the chance.

  10. downshifting on the exit of a corner… hmmm

hitting the rev limiter and hand placement on the wheel…. no comment.

  11. im excited. i wanna do again so that i can get one more ipad :P. just listen for now, simply put your email and number and wait for your parcel. rush it here => bit.ly/11StoqN?=rkvyiv

  12. After watching this vid Iam interested in doing this and saw they are comming to a nearby track in Aug.. I liked in this vid how the instructor was cool and laid back, let you rip on it.. Some of the other vids I have seen they instructors were pretty conservative and it looked like they didn't really let you get on it… Probably a strange question but was this guy more lax with you and usual, do you feel the 400 bucks would be worth it? I have always dreamed of piloting a R8.. Thanks!
