FJ Cruiser Build Pt 3 – New Door, Fender, Bumper, And A Winch That Could Pull A House Down

In this episode we install a new (used) door, a new passenger fender, a new bumper, and a 12,000lb winch provided by Rough Country.

Now the FJ looks much less like it just rolled over, and more like its ready to drive through a wall.

  1. I bought my 2007 fj 6 speed manual with under 20k miles on copart auction for $8700. Very excited, and work is in progress. Question on the winch installation. Did you have to drill holes in the frame to mount the winch? I've watched other videos on youtube, and people had to drill holes in the frame to install the winch.

  2. Can someone let us know the Model of the winch? Total est weight of the bumper and winch together. Any need for shock upgrades in the future to handle the additional weight?
