In this episode I started off trying to prep the Aston to hit the track, about 30 minutes in I realized I had a bigger problem on my hands. But it’s nothing that can’t be fixed!

  1. 3:55 actually, Big Car companies don't build all their own parts either … the big OEMs have many component assemblies made for them by suppliers who specialize in those type of assemblies, then those OEMs buy extras, which they resell as replacement OEM original branded parts. Aston Martin can't leverage volume purchasing from those same suppliers, and doesn't wish to carry replacement part inventory for resale .. so they use component assemblies from other existing cars, and probably get a small purchasing discount for their vehicle builds.. and let shops buy replacement parts from the same car company Aston bought the parts from.

  2. Those of us watching, see a lot of your diligent work… some play in the G35 would be a nice break. Thanks for all the effort we don't see too man, it helps to have your experience to reference when deciding whether to tackle a project or not.

  3. I'm not a purist or anything so I don't care what you swap with what engine! Just you can't go around 2jz swapping all of your cars! Do something different! Do a ford v8 swap with a supercharger or something?

  4. little small hint, take that ac compressor bracket out the way. Should give you more wiggle room. Also, on every European vehicle, sometimes you have to take off more parts to just get to the main part. Cheers.

  5. Your Build videos are Great, this is exactly what Car guys want to see all the step by step processes – Keep up the good work

  6. Love watching your vids. Nice to see someone who actually listens to their audience (Aston swap) keep up the great videos your an inspiration.

  7. The English have no idea what the fuck they're doing in building cars, as proven repeatedly by anyone who has ever had the misery of working on the hunks of shit, and you should immediately Mad Max and LS-swap that hunk of shit to save yourself time and money and hatred. You'll both fix the car and teach Aston how not to suck ass. Not that they'll listen.

  8. glad to see you're still getting ad revenue. roughly 16 min vid, 3 ads. nice to see youtube hasn't completely lost it.

  9. so, you want to put an engine in it that suits the car worse than the original engine, decrease the value of the car and cost alot of money to pull off, because you find it to difficult to work with limited room on the engine, while your channel is about fixing cars?……. smh

  10. No swap…..Just strip and lighten the Vantage. Get it drift spec, with a hydro and mad steering lock!!

  11. Might be helpful to mention that aston martin drivetrain's are bloted up from underneath all at once, hence why its so hard to pull things out from under. Small companies like aston also dont have the hundreds of thousands of cars running through them and building off the same model so they dont refine the ease of servicing ect.

  12. Everything is super tight in here ….. And THAT is why you wont get that Toyota thing in there without amount huge ball ache and making big holes in the 'hood' . AM totally re engineered the front end to get the v12 in.
