Cleetus DRIVES my 1200hp v10 R8 + Reactions (& UPDATE!!)

Well ~400 full-throttle passes later and we finally have our first broken part..I’m surprised it didn’t happen sooner! This car took some SERIOUS abuse over the 5 week period I had it back from AMS Performance. I made dozens of street launches, half mile runs, 1/4 mile passes (on Jason Miller Prep..) and hundreds of full-throttle hits in-between. If everything goes right, we’ll have it back in time for Race Week 1.0 and be able to put it to the test with a 5 day, 1,000 mile road trip, with drag racing every day!

    I've put more mile on this car in 5 weeks than some people have on their cars in a year, it didn't owe me anything! 😛
    Keep an eye out later this week for the damage report and to see what it's going to take to get it ready for Rocky Mountain Race Week that starts THIS SATURDAY!

    — 'Love your narrative re putting the R8 through the initial R&D via ~300 passes.
    Also, there's a genuine collectiveness among those who race, that their cars are vulnerable to breaking, given their paces.
