What software is he designing this thing in? Any guesses?
Need the panoramic sunroof installed
I for one don't think the weight is going to be an issue. I just went to the RV show in Toronto and they had massive RVs on a Sprinter chassis. I think you're fine.
Making this out of steel plate is going to be craaaazy heavy. Good luck! I can t wait to see it.
I feel bad for you if those cab lights ever burn out. Those bad boys are just going to have to be the way they are for life lol.
What is a clearance light goes out?
Keep “Failing†Bro! Your channel is absolutely perfect! #KeepShining
Oscar needs a raise!!
no offense dude but that thing is going to be heavy… you're knee deep in it! press on!!
15:06 this view is gonna be sick when it's done.
Am I wrong? I thought it was a "gross weight rating" not a "government weight rating" or is he talking about something else entirely different?
Watch how indian and pakistan make a truck ahaha with all metal
Really appreciate how you take the time out to address comments and are so honest about where things are going and if they work or not.
The weight thing didn't really flag as a major issue for me, what I wonder about now, is around how it will work with expansion and flex in the chassis – from new, the cab and rear truck bed are separated with an expansion joint and the pro build campers take the same approach. But if I've understood correctly, your camper body is fully welded to the cab as one piece? Will that work ok with expansion and chassis flex?
that fiat gonna bend in half. hope not
You NEED to get a Titan Fuel Tank for this thing. Especially with the added fuel consumption due to the worse aerodynamics of the truck. That Titan fuel tank will make it so you have roughly 30%-50% more fuel than the stock tank
I feel like those roof lights are gonna be a pain in the ass if you have to replace the bulb lol
Here we go again, literally to the 1% who's reading this, God bless you, and may your dreams come true, stay safe and have a wonderful and blessed day.😇
Any concerns about critters, leaves, or other debris taking over that "free floating" space between the sleeping area and the roof of the truck?
Idk why people are so worried about weight, have they ever seen a service full of tools, they weigh 11000lbs and the trucks handle it like its nothing and they are the same 5500 ram
Is it just me or does the front portion of the sleeping quarters not seem tall enough? Definitely not tall enough for a nice thick mattress plus sleeping room. Maybe it's bigger than it looks?
Just in case I’d recommend just adding some frame reinforcements in the middle so you don’t have what happened on the 3500 in the picture. Just slap 2, 3 foot sections of flat bar and weld in and should be good to go
B is for being able to be it at home 😂😂💯💯
Brother you inspire me your builds are amazing and very DIY friendly. Keep it going from a 56 YOA vet. America!!!!
I hope your having fun building the truck. It's cool. People have to stop watching and start doing. I'm dreaming of the day my dodge 3500 drw build starts. Love taking ideas from multiple channels !! Thank you for sharing.
Imagine if he put a Tesla battery from one of the vehicles he bought. That should give them power for all he wants to put on. Gaming and AC included
So Cool-Great Content!! This is moving out quickly – NICE
How are you going to change those clearance lights if they burn out on the roof???
I really enjoy these videos on how not to build a camper. I look forward to seeing the interior come together.
Is there reason for not using sheet aluminium?
the truck will be fine, they braced the frame for twisting and its pretty much a short bus you can sleep in, and when is the last time anyone saw a school bus snap in half, awesome build guys!!! I had this same idea years ago and its so cool to see someone actually doing it!!! love the channel!
Little upset that you showed a Revel as your Class B RV example instead of a Storyteller Overland Beast Mode but it's fine 😅. I'm a little biased though since I'm part of the awesome team that builds the STO Modes! Anyway enjoying the content and when you get into insulating and sealing, look into Havelock wool and Dicor!
Put a sunroof!
Id like to see you add quick disconnects where it bolts to the floor and four electric jacks so you could remove it when you are out camping and stuff
Your cars paint is going to be so contaminated from all that steel work. You should really cover the cars. Love the videos ðŸ‘ÂÂ
The new Rams with the frame cracking issues, the new Rams don't have the frame braces and crack where the brace would normally be at on the older gens
I can't be the only one thinking that a uhaul would have been a much easier and more practical way to go with this
its looking good so far, i think you're going to be fine with the weight.
I been wait on the conversion
you def have to get a solar/ battery sponsor for this build
Alot of deflection in that cantilever
I'd use "bedliner" for the roof because A. you WILL hit trees and B. it WILL live outside because it's too big to put inside.
