In this episode we continue to break down the Lotus Evora to gain access to the suspension components and diagnose what is wrong and what we need to replace or repair.

Its funny to go back and watch some of these older series and see how much more comfortable you are now in front of the camera. These series are great to see how much the shop and your skills have really grown in a short period of time – both with cars and with editing and production. Pretty awesome.
Where’s the Lotus shirt?
no one ever listens as the guy explains anything u see wrong that he is doing in process of restoring this Lotus he asked to shoot him a email and not a comment as he doesnt have time to look at all of them.
Yep, that's suspension
Without having watched any of the evora videos after this one it looks to me like the upper a arm to knuckle bushing on the right rear is pushed back which would make the spring rub. Wonder if I'm right…
Love these videos! Good luck from fellow car enthusiast from Norway 🙂
using foobar in car talk. amazing
Did you crash your car or just bought a savage car?
Lotus cars all all about weight saving, hence the use of Velcro in your last vid that you were mocking
I sure hope you didn't pay more than $50 for that poor thing. I look forward to seeing if you can get this car safely driveable.
You can turn this car into a gokart! that would be awsome!
Great job by the way 😀
Front end driver die looks like radiator should bolt back into position.
Rear swaybar looks bent.
Pass rear swaybar end link is toasted.
Now as for the PASSENGER REAR, shock, it could be the LOWER CONTROL ARM might be bent or the mount on the frame is tweeked. I would take driver side lower off and compare the two if possible.
KEEP UP THE GREAT work i know i'm late to the party, but just found the playlist…getting caught up!

You been working on cars for a long time and you don't know the name of that little "doohickey" @8:09? lol. I thought that was a hoot haha. Fyi It's call a endlink 😛
The hub carrier is clearly not centered on the rear A-arm. It has slipped backwards in the crash. Easy fix. 🙂
Keep the rear clam shell off, looks wild
So excited this project hasn't been forgotten! Nice to see the follow through!

It would be a crime against nature (and the Evora itself) not to use Lotus rims on that car. You might be able to get those repaired even or just find some from a car that got wrecked the other way round.
This rebuild is so awesome!
Good luck with this one. Hope You will repair it.
It looks like the bushing for the right rear upper control arm is DONE-ZO, which would make the strut positioned a little off.
i like those rims so much, i wish you would get new ones, they look so good.
Will you guys put a wide body on when you're done?
Part of that shock touching is probably due to that side being pushed in slightly due to the broken toe-bar. Fix that toe bar, and match all the measurements to the "good" side, see where it lies then.
its amazing how you can look at this and see potential. I only see a destroyed car. I really hope that you can work some magic and make this car like new again! can't wait for future videos!
We should collaborate =) I 3d print parts in Carbon fiber, kevlar or fiberglass
The Aluminum frame is all bent out of shape.
Can't wait for the mustang and what will you be doing with the camaro
3:52 whats the black tube inside of the frame rail?
great project
Thank god no more bmw
mustang? damn you have alot of cars
You are risking life by fixing this up and driving it

Next episode: Chris $500 paint job on the Evora rear end. 6 videos and 5 recoats of chris trying to paint it. lol
my favorite series by far. im sure the mustang will be a close 2nd 🙂
im pretty sure that u have enough spring clearance
I just found out about this channel and really enjoy your videos! keep up the good work! really looking forward to this build watched the whole brz series overnight:)
should have tried foam and bondo on the old clam shell. Would have been a lot less then 2.6k, but a lot of work.
