In this episode I remove the door panels and disconnect all the electrical components in the doors to then be able to remove the doors. After that I turn my focus to the rear bulkhead, removing all the fiberglass pieces from it and the foam backing to gain access to the damaged parts.

I think the lesson to be learned here is don't try to repair a Lotus that's been on it's roof!
Doing all this dusty fiber stuff with naked skin, without vacuum and ventilation is just not worth your health dude. Rebuilding your health few years down the line won't be on a budget if even possible in full extent… Plus, why aren't you covering dash and engine with foil, to save yourself lots of cleaning time and preventing any dust getting into mechanical parts? I really enjoy your videos, but please don't run your health down with this dust.
There’s a documentary about the creation of the Evora where they explore what a nightmare the entire process was. If you saw that first, you would never have attempted it. Great work!
G'Day, anyone notice those nice heavy tools balancing above the new window glass. This could get interesting.
you should have bought a electric leaf blower for cleaning out the shop lol
P.s.
That front passenger wheel tread direction is annoying me lol.
Now, i can understand why the last owner wanted to sell the car after the accident… lol
to all the people hating on how much money it cost him to do this, just think of it like a boat: it's a hole in the water that you try to fill with money and it keeps getting bigger. that's all.
prety crazy how much you had to tare down this car looks cool in this state
Bit thumb up on this video. What you're doing seems so overwhelming. I watched another video on how some of these advanced cars are glued together and as you were cutting it apart, I was getting anxious about how impossible it all seemed. Looking forward to how you solve the body problems. Maybe once I see the new parts, it will make the path seem more clear. I'm impressed by your positive attitude! Keep it up. Super inspiring shit!
and thats how i feed my eel
why not build a hor road
is it just me or do stripped cars look great haha
that car looks sexier this way. :3
Actually looks like an KTM Xbow..! xD
Dude, you have my sympathy…..what an amount of work!
where do you find your cars?
There's a connector in the door
Fiero body….or hell an MR2 body! being it is powered by toyota after all
Drop a new body on this thing. Like a Porsche 928. Those are cheap.
Exotic cars are beautiful, light, and fragile like butterflies.
Make it a openwheeled hotrod with a midmount, open, engine 😀
Be honest, how close will it be to new when you are done.

Love your videos bro! You have a new subscriber ! 🙂
That tool you were using is called a Fien tool. Secondly have you considered building your own body?
I wonder if the window frame is a structural piece? 🙂
hey man new to the channel awesome stuff! what do you think the time line on the tear down/ build will be till done?
Good to see more progress Chris. I still think your going to end up with a new front subframe though. Car deserves to be mint so take your time.
What if you went vette-cart with this build? Anyone?
surely the bulkhead is symmetrical… Why dont you remove the entire center section (window surround section) – the passenger side is in good enough shape to make a template from – reverse it for the driver side and fabricate a complete replacement?
Loving this series mate, keep up the good work.
Got my Evora T-Shirt in the mail, It is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
do you see my email about the roof? it was £800 from a lotus dealer.
loving the detailed narrative.. keep them coming
hmmm look at 14.14 reckon thats the reason the car had an accident
This is a very ambitious rebuild , keep it up. My heart itches everytime i see you cut a panel because you dont know if you can really find a replacement part ….
How many hours on it so far? Is it really a "budget" build ? Looks like a LOT of time and money must be invested in it to get it back on the road. Good luck!
