In this episode we replace the bent and mangled lower control arm. Later we hunt around for a replacement wheel, after we get both of those figured out we repair the damage to the power steering reservoir and then its off to the test drive!

Very similar car that I owned. I had an ‘03 6MT, same color, but with a spoiler and black interior. I leased it, then bought it off lease, and sold it a year later for a small “profitâ€ÂÂ. Fun car, but it did have some build quality issues. All covered under warranty, but still a bit of a PITA. I do miss the sound of that engine and exhaust though.
cops on no fucks given mode .lmao
Engine and exhaust sound quite cool. Is that only because of the missing hood?
Oil gauge is a must g35s run through oil like crazy
what scrap metal place called?
You talk too much,do some work.
13:45 Test drive!
I don’t know if you know yet but vdc and slip lights on together means there’s a code that needs to be checked. Infiniti’s are know for having mindless electrical issues and that’s what usually causes the code, for the one I worked on for a while it was usually because of the radio and some mods that I didn’t use resisters to trick the computer.
The cop drove right past him😂😂😂
B is for build: learn by doing.
"One of these switches turns on the guage pod… oops, I just popped the trunk"
I love that hes smart enough to not care about looking a little dumb sometimes. Dude seems to be able to just figure stuff out as he goes, common sense style.
I love the stock g35 coupe exhaust note. This one isn't, but I like it too.
What a piece of shit
VDC is Vehicle Dynamic Control. Traction control.
Where/what store did you get the wheels and headlight that cheap?
mismatched wheels "not the end of the world" on the apocalypse build haha
Pour brake fluid into the master cylinder. That’ll get rid of the slip/vdc light issue.
101k miles and can be repaired to stock for like 3k total is a GREAT deal xD
whoever installed those pods is retarded, that shit is a giant fucking hazard. If it was a shop that person needs a firing.
Austin Martin Wheels on G35 ;D
What model of the quickjack did you get?
If the slip light (let's you know if the wheels are slipping) is constantly on, with the with the vdc off (with out pushing the button). They probably unhooked the for/fob sensor. It's under the center console. They do that so the vdc is truly off an you can lanch an do burn outs!
I mis you
I had one the 02 sport coupe.. It said skyline on back gt350.
B is for Bucky! (Captain America’s brother with the shiny arm)! Lol
B is for Budget Trike!
You where really chancing with future danger with no Fans.
Hey bro I’ve been wanting to replace my rearward lower control arm like you did in this video and had a few questions. Do you need to take off the crossmember to replace the rearward control arm? And do you need to pull a sleeve or bushing from the old one to put on the new rearward control arm? Thanks can’t find a vid to show me how to do this
Yes, suspension arms like that one are built with a designed failure point so that doing something silly like hitting a kerb when parking doesn't wreck the frame of the car, instead of pushing in and bending the frame/chassis the part bends instead. And it's not as stupid as it sounds, a friend of mine wrote off his BMW E36 coupe by hitting a kerb at, presumably, the wrong angle, or maybe the suspension arm was a poor quality replacement part and didn't fail like an original or good quality replacement would, so it pushed in and bent the front chassis rail too badly for the car to be cost-effective to fix. Ironically, he'd just finished assembling a set of OEM front suspension parts to overhaul the front end and get the car back to driving how it should…
OMG , can you say BUTCHER ?
did anybody else notice at 4:25 chris has a prosthetic leg????
Yo how did you solve the wiper fluid reservoir issue? I have a similarly damaged G35 and I don't have anywhere to hang it except the headlight via ziptie lol. Did you guys go that route, or did you just delete it?
end of last video: "we might do a rat rod"
begin of this: "I'd like to stay with the same sort of look"
very clear ideas 😛
you talk to much man show more work being done instead of yakking your mouth.
did you know the mustang has the same lug pattern as all nissan/infiniti 5 lug vehicles. both makes run 5x 4.5/ 5×114.3.
the only thing to check is the center bore (where the wheel slips onto the hub) g35 is 66.3 mustang is 70.6. a lil bigger but the lugs will center the wheel and you had a mustang sittin right there the whole time. budget fail lol.
Hold up!!! This guy lives in the same area I do!! I recognize the parking lot he's in. Kmart across the street from the church.
lol I like how he quickly skipped the process of the being locked in the car until it was open, u know he was freaking out and probably yelling on camera lol
new to the channel have been hearing about his legendry tho. starting off w this series and already liking the channel ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸ‘ÂÂ
Lots of talk…
vdc is traction control and slip shows up when the tires lose traction
the slip and vdc light combo is usually triggered in nissans that throw an error code eventually for the camshaft sensor i think.
I am pumped about this build
if you haven't found what the slip and VDC off lights are, it's a common problem with Nissan/infinity it has to do with the ABS module and won't cause a problem other then no ABS and no traction control
heh. g35 sounds better than the vanquish. but its so damn sexy!
What is this exhaust?
damn the G35 sounds bitching
FYI – 2003-2004 clutch is heavy by design. Good or bad.
B is for "don't be a bitch about it"
Vdc off and slip lights came on for me. It was the cam shaft sensor driver side on an 06 g35coupe
slip and vdc on for me was throttle body being super dirty. also you have to pressure bleed g35 brakes to get them nice and firm. also get some stainless steel brake lines. you probably have a microscopic leak where the damage was in the front. ss brake lines are like 50$ btw
it sounds so good
