Promise you will never sell a car you have been messin with.
its a tie rod, dip wod…
might as well be wearing a sombrero, can't see squat with the damn baseball hat, spin it backward at least…
Did you run into any issues with the frame being too low when you installed the drop spindles???? I have a 1st generation 68 Camaro that I installed 2" drop spindles and the frame is literally 2" off the pavement which causes some serious issues….. contemplating changing them back to original……let me know if you had the same problem please..
If u wouldnt of worn a hat could of seen wat u was doin!
I was the 1,000th like! Woot woot! Lol
Good video but Dude…invest in a BFH ( big f*cking hammer). you steal that tiny little thing from your kid sisters hello kitty tool kit. 😆. May as well been smacking it with your change purse. For future reference, a BFH works everytime to release the ball joint from the spindle. My have to add a little constant force with a pry bar.
Good video, except your hat was constantly in the view of the camera.
1. Steering knuckle/ tie rod.
2. Those are not extra holes on the spindle. The steering knuckle mounts in the bottom holes so the tie rod mounts in stock location.
3. Great vid, but keep the hat flipped.
It didn't look any lower. Weird….
I see you got a 2-inch drop and I've been looking for a 4 inch drop spindle for my 69 Camaro. Do you know if they even make them and where I can get it.
Take hat off and we will be able to see what you’re doing
I got free drop spindles when I got disc brakes for the front they were 3 inch drop it was tucked as fuck on mine not drivable had to get coil overs lol
3yr old video still helping hot rodders..well it helped me anyways 🙂
Not sure if you have had any problems with your tierod on the new drop spindle, but I’m 99% positive the lower two holes on the drop spindle are for mounting the steering arm, not the top two like you have it. I say this because that is how I set it up on my 67 and what was said in the instruction manual with my drop kit for the change.
If you paid to have that front end aligned beforehand, you got ripped off. It's easy to see you have a ton of negative caster. It's gonna handle much better and steer easier when you get that corrected.http://www.superchevy.com/how-to/chassis-suspension/sucp-1004-muscle-car-front-end-alignment-basics/
Nice video ..I have a Chevelle. The job is not so scary now. Thanks a bunch.. 🙂
Do you have a video of installing all the front end bushings for your camaro. ..?
dont cut the spring! itll ride worse because you are cutting bounce out of the spring and you can develop bump steer and many other problems!
coilovers dude
I do not know why you make it so hard, or you make it look hard .when it is not difficult For a normal guy takes this approximately 1.5 hours to do this job
I'm a year too late but NOOOO DON'T CUT THE SPRING
That sway bar link pin wouldn't of hit anything as they move up and down the same time as its all connected
should leave the nut on the tie rod ball joint so you don't accidentally hit and damage the thread
Any good drum to disc conversion kits suggestion. Also control arms?
nice cap you can seey nathing.
9:00 tie rod end
"What is that? Lower control arm?" Outer tie rod end.
"I can't remember the name of this tool…" That's a ball join separator.
Wow the old owner did a lot of new parts you got a good car to restore sweet ride I'm really enjoying all the vids bro
Dear god that thing is monster trucking so hard. I hope you can lower it a bit more so it will get rid of that hideous fender gap.
maybe is you weren't trying to look black with your ballcap people could see bolt you're actually referring to.
that thing you didnt know what its called, i cant see well but i think its a track rod
How old is the chassis for that camaro….? looks brand new!
Please tell me you repacked all the front bearings with new grease
