One of our favorite trucks from the HPT Truck Shootout was this inline 6 cylinder 1936 Chevy pickup putting down 1000whp in a 3000lbs pickup… Not what you’d expect from a truck from this era!

Do you compete in NHRA or IHRA events? What Eliminator Bracket do you compete in? What class?
Twin brothers?
Amazingly "street looking" car to run such fast times!
@Richard Goldener here's a video on a 36chev pickup with 292 inline six.

Does anyone know the number to there shop or the name of there shop
There is a new build in the works right now. It presents its own sets of challenges to say the least.
Still my favorite build. until i get my 4.2 vortec build done.
now THAT is cool
…hats off to those guys…they are REAL hot rodders…
jesus that car is a fucking demonÂÂÂ
in brazil the 250 chevy is building at 1998 in chevrolet omega
Anyone know who those guys were that own the truck?
love the truck awesome
I need to show all the v8 heads that a inline 6 is a nasty motor too lol
this is a very nice truck. They live in the same town as I. I have ran into them at the auto parts a time or two
must be brothers….
I saw this and I thought of my uncle bob he love 6 bangers and could make one fly
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
GETS IT!!
i tried to think of something clever, but i had nothin
epic reply
it has an automatic transmission
This is what happens when you introduce nerds to horsepower….
it weights 3050 lbs and runs a powerglide
…
with an automatic transmission?
2800lbs pickup not 3000lbs as it says in the description. 200lbs might not sound like much but it is a lot of difference when your drag racing
that's not a small block
That's bad ass for a small block
How did it shift automatically?
Tailgate down = High Drag
Tailgate up = Low Drag
Tailgate up, with tonneau cover = Ultra Low Drag.
How? you refer the lid closed or open? a cover also not decrease without losing the aesthetic?
Badass is all I can say.
you are correct 🙂 my truck did better times with the tail gate up …
this is a perfect reason why i am a CHEVY GUY !!!! totally awsome 🙂
I talked to these guys when I was at Hennessey's race track. They were running strong mid 8's and ended up winning brackets. Thing is a fucking beast.
i used to have a 67 chevy stepside with a 292.those big 6cyls make a lot of torque. bought it a a county auction. old bus garage truck.
