A Toyota Supra 2JZ engine pushing 1100hp with a 76mm Turbo powering this BEAUTIFUL Corvette (aka the HATER MAKER due to the amount of people who don’t approve of this Japanese imported motor) was not something we expected to see under the hood! We ran into the owner doing some shake down testing at FL2K15 event where he showed us the unique power plant, which seemed to fit quite nicely without major modification!! The unmistakeable sounds of a Supra compliment the sleek body lines of this American Classic Stingray Corvette surprisingly well, we can’t wait to see it get dialed in even more!

  1. Cool project. I love straight 6s. A lot of Corvette and American car guys are probably too focused on -2 cylinders to even realize this is a whole new configuration. The inline engine is a whole different world and this engine has more than proven itself. I personally would love to see more American cars get this treatment as powerful American V8 engines in light Japanese cars have been done to death.

  2. This car is amazing! I saw it this past weekend at our local track. I have video of it making a pass when the 2JZ releases a rod into the wild. It's on my GT500 vs Grand National video.

Awesome car, guys. I hope you get it back together soon, and running better than ever.

  3. This would make sense in japan but it seems like this would be way more expensive here in the US and an LS swap would be better, but this was done for the haters to hate so thumbs up! lol.

  4. Awesome car and the motor, but I think the reason this owner gave is a bit bullshit, isn't any aluminium ls lighter than the…Plenty of people have gotten 1k+ hp out of ls motors. Not hating at all though.
