The standard grammar says "you are" is correct. But grammar is not based on axioms, logic or truth. Even "you are" is wrong because both "you" and "are" are/were plural. We use "you are" so widely that we regard it as correct to be used as singular. Grammar is just a form of the language that we use widely and consistently.
