  1. My gramps got transferred to the spin axe right before the gray backs last deployment. Lost a lot friends and was always sad about it. I wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for that transfer.

  2. I'll tell you what. I am about to retire, and am an ex USAF captain, engineer, and more, who in all my later civilian jobs worked on a lot of Navy projects, worked at Electric Boat on several submarine projects, etc. I have done some sea duty as part of my assignment, used the Space Shuttle Solid Rocket Booster Ship out of Cape Canaveral, etc. I am going to look into see how to volunteer to help this Lost 52 project.

  3. Men like those fought for a unified country. The country produced leaders like Truman, FDR and JFK. Now look at us. We have no borders. The government has no use for people following the immigration process. Many people who served in the war, went on to become police officers. The respect for police by citizens has been eroded to the point of defunding police. Now we have a President who isn't even mental fit and may let Congress defund cops whatever else socialism brings upon us.

  4. I lost an Uncle on the USS Trigger. My older brother is named for him. USS Trigger disappeared March 26 1945 presumably after being bombed and depth charged..

  5. WW II was my first war, and my Dad was in it. He was wounded but he survived "all the Pacific war garden spots" as a merchant mariner on a C 3 cargo ship.and we were lucky,; he came home to us. This was the cost of freedom. I thank those great warriors who did not get to come home and pray for peace for their families that were left behind when they fought for tour freedom.. God bless them, their families and the USA that they loved so much. " Sail on, sail on, sail on….."
