While the FAA requires all commercial planes to have an emergency medical kit, they don’t have to carry epinephrine auto-injectors for passengers with life-threatening allergic reactions.

I mean the passenger should have their own Epi pen but the flight should also have their own epi pen because logistically in the time it takes to get that plane down the patient will probably need an additional dose.
Also who the hell is going to take time to measure epinephrine. Most doctors use an epi pen these days (at least in the general pediatric practice I worked in idk about the ER) and the fact is you need to know a patient’s weight to correctly dose them (hence the regular vs the jr) In an emergency that’s not going to be possible
This seems like a given!! I can’t believe they don’t have a dosed amount knowing how many people have allergic reactions. The kit should have Epipen, AED, the heart attack med/stroke emergency med, the diabetes emergency meds, oxygen, and a mild sedative/anti seizure medicine like a diazepam. those medicines should cover all medical emergency possibilities on planes and keep anyone alive & as calm as possible until the flight landing! if they have a large vile of medicine then they need a doctor on board! How is it not dosed ? Too much of any medicine at once can be fatal and its called an overdose. So a flight attendant is going to measure medicine? Wow. They need to have individual doses of stuff pre-measured for a random person’s use.
Well this is exactly why we need new leadership. People can't afford medication that costs less than 50 cents an ounce to make because it costs $400 per dose. Cough cough. #BigPharmaExposed
So he ordered something hes allergic to…..genius!
People are all together to entitled about planes, Be so lucky to FLY! They should strap people to the seats, and have OPEN commuter compartments to save weight increase fuel capacity and go faster, and worry about counting survivors after/IF you land.
Well if you have a condition wouldn't you carry your own meds? WTF!?
Trump is your emergency drug…
And dont forget it!
To hell with the company statement. We need to change the laws
Why in the hell do y'all have people segregated in the background you got white people on one side black people on the other side is that really how y'all going to portray y'all Channel if it is I'm unsubscribing it's f*** up Americas divided enough without y'all helping it
" It's the war on drugs , stupid "
Well if they don't want to carry epi pens then should be required
Problem is as a FA we are not allowed to open these kits to show every passenger who asks to see the medications onboard unless there is an actual emergency and have authorization to do so (there are 2 different kits onboard). So if a passenger wants to know, all the FA can do is show them the label on the outside that shows the items and quantity. But, unless you’re a doctor or nurse, 99% of passengers won’t have a clue what’s described or the names of these meds .. except maybe Benadryl, gloves, masks, bandaid, etc. Think people know what Nubain or Promethozine are or used for?! NO! Always a good idea to bring all your meds in your carry-on and NEVER in checked luggage.
Protection is very important
Then train personal to use and messure
I don't even have to watch this video to know that this is both wrong and illegal.
May are die after 10 days OK
Lucky and fantastic news
hope this luka kid gets it again while flying. bring your own epipen if you have allergies – zero personal responsibility
I always carry my epi pens on flights!
I'll save you! ✅â¤ï¸ÂÂ
It's not the airlines fault
I have allergies and always have my epipen. If I was on a plane and saw someone starting to have an extreme allergy reaction, I jab it in their thigh for them. Anaphylaxis is a horrible feeling and turns to panic so quickly, I don’t want anyone to go through that.
So you telling me this 10 year old never ate or came into skin contact with any type of nuts like cashews in his LIFE! Could it be he was allergic before and now is allergic? So many questions on that. But airlines make billions they should be required to carry at least the epiPen. I’m sure people with known allergies carry their own if they can afford it. Dr. Mike rocks! Chest compressions chest compressions chest compressions!
if you know your allergic then you should have a epi pen with you at all times..hell even if you don't you should.. it's just that simple don't be a dumbass, be prepared.. goes the same for narcan, it's nobody else's responsibility except your own.
There seems to always be a Doctor or Nurse on a flight , they should have the supplies available that they can use. In the air , a fully stocked emergency kit is essential.
Are passengers not allowed to travel with their own medication? Shouldn't it be the passengers responsibility to have whatever medication they may have a need for on them for an emergency anyway? If a plane has common medication on it for emergencies that's good but it seems like a courtesy thing and shouldn't have to be a requirement.

Just because there airlines want to save money by cutting out on these life saving medicines that could potential save someone
