You don't see the same people that are addicted to prescription drugs on these narcotics shows. As long as you pay the pharmaceutical companies, your addict is ok and legal.

No one will be singing songs about cops who seize drugs. Nothing heroic about it.
Drug cops are a special breed of "just following orders" human garbage. Addiction is bad but only because it has to be hidden in fear of arrest.. if there was a legal place to buy it nobody would break the law for it. At least not us regular drug users who would never in their life even think of doing something like armed robbery or burglary.

As an addict myself I agree with the sentiment that they are trying to take drug dealers off the streets but more Focus needs to be put on the doctors who for the most part get these people addicted to opioids
