No women were nominated in the Best Director category, even though there were women behind critical favorites like “Little Women” and “Hustlers.”

  1. I just love how losers create narratives that they were snubbed. Have you ever considered that your work sucks and it doesn’t matter what gender you are?

  3. The only snub I cared about was about Ava DuVernay's When They See Us. That series is magnificent yet got 0 nominations. Also, yes. Eddie was snubbed

  4. LITTLE WOMEN WAS AN AMAZING FILM, ITS SCRIPT AND CINEMATOGRAPHY WERE AMAZING. AS WELL AS THE ACTING AND DIRECTING. GRETA SHOULDVE BEEN NOMINATED INSTEAD OF TODD PHILLIPS.

  5. You dont get awards for your gender or skin color but for the quality of your work.
Make a movie on the level of irishman, joker, once upon a time in hollywood, ford v ferrari and take the award.
If you just whine on twitter and your little talk shows then this deja vu is gonna continue for years to come.

  6. Maybe every single demographic should have their own awards? Then everyone wins. Keep them divided, but all the same. Seperate but equal, I guess?

  7. I'm so tired of social media making something out of nothing. If everyone isn't included then you must be racist, homophobic and sexist. Maybe these movies were not good. I saw hustlers and I can say it was one of the worst movies of the year. The fact that it's even being nominated is a complete joke.

  8. LOL you have to laugh when commenting 'Maybe their work wasn't good enough to be considered' as surely ABC thought about it before making this a 'news worthy' story. But then "What about those women of colour" comes out of the presenters mouth and you know NOPE they definitely didn't even consider the quality of the work ""

  9. Why don't just create women's Golden globe award separate from men? since we have to recognize gender inequality and not the quality of film produced.

  10. Wtf was that segment even about? Was it about the lack of nominated women directors? Because u only named 2 movies. Little women, which no one has seen, maybe it's really good, idk. And HUSTLERS …. which is god awful trash… r u mad cuz HUSTLERS isn't getting a golden globe?… holy hell… this is so patronizing. Please don't give women participation medals. Sincerely… everyone

  11. Why does the Golden Globes (and Oscars) still have a Best Actor and Best Actress category? I thought everything was supposed to be gender neutral nowadays. Mailperson, businessperson, etc. Yet, when it comes to just having ten candidates, of any gender, up for one single category of "Best Actor", suddenly I don't hear women complaining about political correctness. Maybe because their phony asses know that if all 10 candidates were in one ballot, the women's chances of winning one would be severely lessened.

  12. Maybe becausw those woman cant write good movies ? What is this a kindergardens soccer match where everyone gets a trophy ?

  13. I'm sorry.
I feel the same way about Little Women as I did about A Star is born.
Why should you get an award for rehashing something that's been around for 100 years and isn't your original work.
As a woman I fully support and love a female leader but that's basically recycling.

  14. Identity politics have plaque our every society…..every movies that i had watched, i do not care if a man or a woman directed it….if it is a bad movie, it is a bad movie, regardless if a man or women that made it…
