The system could have alerted the pilot to the approaching hillside, but some experts said there might not have been enough time to change its fate.

The major thing it lacked was a brain inside the pilots head.
All lives matter, this was such a sad thing to happen to everybody I pray for the families , may God give them the strength to make it
R.i.p Kobe n Gigi ðŸ™ÂÂ
The only difference is the pilot would have known for sure they were all screwed.
I had to pay extra for a door bell on a $500K house.
10 Million dollar helicopter and it doesn't come with it.ðŸ¤â€Â
All 9 that lost there lives have a name My God Ppl
Maybe this will get the FAA to put down their Starbucks cups, and mandate ALL commercial aircraft to install TAWS.
Stupid media. They think the terrain warning system is a good thing. That thing screams in your headset terrain, terrain, terrainn and will completely distract one from flying. I hate that thing.
Sad,😢 we will never say goodbye bryant
I just cant imagine the loss families taken to soon but my feeling was in my heart he told them not to fly but from who evers decision
it was it was a fatal one
Idk why i want to die now because of kobe…i know i wont do it, but some days…i feel like it🥺ðŸ’â€Â
pilot error lose control he instrument the flight
What really happened inside the copter seconds before the crash will remain a mystery forever

These accidents always seems to come down to a series of events or choices, that once done, can’t be undone. I am amazed that a pilot with his experience chose to fly in those conditions. He may have wanted to please his VIP passengers and make up the 15 minutes lost around Burbank airspace; he may have told himself he had done it before; he may have had over confidence in his equipment; hindsight is always 20/20. While weather conditions and terrain were factors, ultimately the burden of safety lay with him and his decisions.
Fog Fog Fog….
Why talking like it was bigest problem- Fog?!..
People drive and fly in foggy days million Times..
Its only one question i want to know – Why pilot fly so low ?!..
He gett order – You are still to Low !
.
Why he fly too Low?!.
I waiting for answer …
ABC "News" needs to hire a few dozen more young ethnic socialists to cover this…
Fly high Kobe
What I'm not getting is they talk about the fog but clearly that's not what made them crash and they say they took a nose dive and fast. Something went wrong in the chopper. And I seen the video of them flying in circles, even from the ground you could still clearly see the helicopter. So there no way they just slammed into a hillside.
Isn't that against the Federal Aviation Regulations?
It had an altimeter.
Pilot Probably forgot to reset it as he traversed from Orange county to hills of Los Angeles.
Terrain alarm system? No $h*t it needs one. All of the helis I think
I feel so bad like people like Kobe they don’t deserve to die I don’t know why they had to though it’s like all night and people +4 more people +6 more people are gonna die I mean I think the driver of a helicopter is doing this on purpose but he died because he did that on purpose so I’m pretty sure he did that on purpose if you didn’t like I’m so mad I I don’t know what to say I’m speechless I’m not in a good way I feel like Kobe’s watching us he’s in a better place and I hope he’s happy that he left this world with pollution and garbage and all this bad stuff going on
They were cleared to fly and in that video showing them above the pedestrians why did they crash it wasn’t foggy? I could see the Helo clear as day! So, why run into the mountains?
It was mentioned that the chopper made a rapid decent of 300 ft. then banked to the left just before crashing; to me this sounds as if the pilot had a heart attack or passed out.
Talks about helicopter. Shows 777-200lr pfd.
I didn't know how it went from 70 mph to 173mph
I don’t want to see this no more ðŸ˜â€Â
KOBE KOBE KOBE WILL MISS YOU MAN ðŸ’â€Â
Same comment all the time; well respected pilot, trained other pilots and the result is the same, it crashed ðŸ¤â€Â
Why was he suddenly in a dive at 176mph?????
This is very sad!! I wish they didn't fly that day. It seems even the LAPD and other pilots were grounded due to bad weather. Not sure why Kobe's pilot made the decision to fly that day. If the weather is bad, don't fly.
People die everyday…its the cycle of life…..celebrate the lives of all those who perished on that fateful flight! RIP to everyone on that flight!
The Lakers taking time off???? WTF is that!! Get to fucking work, a Professional deals with it and does his work..
Even more reason to land immediately
The pilot was diving kind of steep, maybe he had a heart attack or something.
