  1. Yes it absolutely does. Don't let anyone fool you when they tell you that deplatforming doesn't work. Remember Milo? Yah me neither.

  2. White supremacist/right-wing extremism will be the terror threat of the Roaring Twenty-Twenties. If we don’t put a stop to these nutjobs now, it will spell disaster for all of us—and most of these Trump-worshiping morons can hardly spell “disaster!”

  3. social media as given a place were extreaminsts can spread their BS their hate and prejudice, by baning them from social media, not just they are returning to the roots of social media itself, but also preventing such people from spreading their hate, so yes it works.
i keep hearing conserns about free speech, but people do have to realise that there are also limits to free speech.

  4. Social media has been deplatforming people on the right like Ron Paul but also socialist groups. This won't end well if it is not limited to use extremists but also to drown out people who are not part of the establishment. Before we know it, no one will be left to speak out for us. So some ground rules and a process are needed.

  5. We windup with hate and a bunch bullies that’s why never had a Facebook , tweeter

  6. subtle difference – you call them extremists – when they are just voice that you don't want to hear – more and more people are understanding your game – and they will play the game

  7. "STOP THE APPS!!!!" "TOO MANY!!! HAVING A MELTDOWN!"😂😣🤣

  8. My biggest irritation is the automatic conflation that freedom to speak comes with a platform and microphone to do it. Freedom of speech protects you from the government, nothing else.

  9. WHAT do you mean by "does it work?" I mean, like, "work" at doing what? The entire POINT is "our platform is for friendly business, family and friends to communicate, NOT for terrorists, bullies and thugs to hate." Of course it works! WHAT else do you think it will accomplish? OF COURSE they can go elsewhere. That's fine. All it means is that if you want your Tweetie site to be friendly, it WORKS to ban idiots who won't follow the rules. Simple as…

  10. Let's put it this way, I was born in 1959. We knew about extremist groups after they committed a crime. No one would have any idea how to contact them or how to talk to them or get information from them unless you were really super motivated. Now anyone can join these people with a click of a mouse with relative anonymity. You can send money to them and make plans with them without ever meeting. If I was president I'd close down all social media immediately and anyone posting information on the internet from the USA would have to register their true identity and be subject to blacklisting for deliberately broadcasting disinformation or propaganda.

  11. Yea, Duh, it works to take away speech from platfoms trying to help our society and help screw us by the MSM elitest platforms. Congratulations on your F**NG democracy with your manufactured consent NBC.

  12. They should band Qanon. This will help our country for a better future. People who follows this crazy Extremist are killing our democracy.

  13. Deplatform them all. Then 98% of we normal people can be on Twitter, etc, and 2% of incels and psychos can be on Gab and Parler.

  14. Your thinking of non existing problem of free speech? fake news is the existing one and this should br the focus. Adjust it when u encounter it.

  15. Alex Jones came out against QAnon last week. Doubt he’d have done that if he wasn’t deplatformed.

  16. I don't think removing tRump from Twitter begins a slippery slope. They have TOS, like another company. Also, Agolf Twitler was using his personal account to radicalize the GOP, not the official potus one so there's that. Lastly, I think Twitter should have deleted and/or limited his tweets much earlier. Take away the retweet option.
