  1. I'm not hating on the 2jz, for that small of a motor to crank out those numbers is amazing. But you need HIGH boost to get those numbers which leads to problems. With the LS motors you can get the same numbers with a fraction of the boost on a stronger motor. Idk it may be just me but I would hate having my cars in the shop more than on the street.

  2. And also, here is a funny tidbit of information. The 1uzfe from toyota also uses a 6 bolt main, composite block and high compression but was designed 10 years before the LS1. No one ever talks about toyota's v8's but they are pretty damn amazing. The 1uzfe can rev up to around 8500rpm from the factory and uses the same block design as the gt500 series race cars. Look the motor up on wikipedia, pretty advanced for its time.

I am not hating on corvettes believe me they are awsome cars, just look at it from a car enthusiast point of view. 2jz-gte = 3.0L, 86x86mm bore and stroke, cast iron block, 4 bolt main with oversized wrist pins. LS1 = 99x92mm bore/stroke, aluminum block, 6 bolt main, and a awsome compression ratio from the factory. Yes, on paper LS series motors are superior but with tuning, anything can be just as good as everything else. To say the 2jzgte is a weak motor is just ignorant.

  4. Matt dominges's white supra with 950hp has 67k on it and the silver one has a little over 40k. You mention bullett proof, funny because car and driver rated the 2jz-gte platform a 10/10. The 2jz is a legendary engine. 30lbs of boost is not needed to make a suffecient amount of power. Low 20's works better and if you do push high boost just tune on E85 ethonol. All in the tune. On Supra forums there is a supra with stock bottom end with 1040hp. Will provide link when I find it again.

    Remove some of the spaces in the link… But 57k and it only has 17k miles. Basically still a BRAND NEW car. And with an LS motor you're looking at borderline bulletproof. With a supra with over 30 pounds of boost.. knock knock. Who's there? Your pistons. Plus, how many miles do those supras have on them? Doubt it's under 50k.

  6. I'll let a video do the talking. Find Rob Ferretti's Supra vs vette video. his channel is SuperspeedersRob. His Supra makes 1100 RWHP and his Vette makes in the 700 range. He owns both cars and even drives the Supra in the race, even though the vette is by far his favorite. And you know damn well nobody with a car like that stays off boost. You don't build a car like that to drive it like a pussy. You don't have 30+ lbs of boost and NOT have problems. Even with an LS motor youll have problems..

  7. Repairing it every month? You must not have much experience with suupra's do you? One of the employees at Titan drives a 900hp 95 model supra as a daily. Been doing it for as long as I have known the shop. Reliable and as long as you stay off boost, decent gas mileage. Does it matter if it is built already or if you build it yourself? Doesen't matter how it is modded, as long if it is done right. That is dollar per dollar. You said 50k = 700whp vette, I said 50k = 900whp supra. Problem?

  8. Hey Dr. Dip Shit, in the MONTH OLD comment we were talking about building a car. Buying one with the mods already done is a completely different story. If you wanna go buy a 15 year old modded beyond belief car, have fun with the cost of repairing it every month. And that's given you are talking about a 98 supra.

  9. 50 thousand dollars and you can have a 1000hp+ supra. There is 3 for sale at titans warehouse. One is 45K and it's around 800hp and the other two are 55k and both are 1000hp+ on race fuel and 900 on pump. I can give you the link if you don't believe me.

  10. What are you talking about lmao? 50k will get you a C6Z and still give you left over cash for mods. 50k will get you a 700+ WHP C5… you can pick up a clean C5 for 15k. Dollar per dollar vettes hand supras their ass… i love supras… but you're wrong about them being better for the money.
