Christina has AMAZING parents. I am just so moved by everything they say and do as parents to all 3 of their children
These parents are amazing people!!!
I can't believe this is actually on the same channel as beyond scared straight and these two shows don't even go in the same category 🙄
I love this show soooo much it makes me happy 😢â¤ï¸ÂÂ
In Shawn's last YouTube video his mommy drove him around in the car, and it was so adorable how excited just riding in the car made him. It reminded me about the scene in Secret Life of Pets 2, and how excited all the dogs were JUST to be riding in a car. Lol. Also, it was so adorable how sweet and simple Shawn is still even being almost 30. It was so cute how he asked his mommy about wanting to go play with Rocco (I believe he's like 6 with DS) and roccos toddler sibling who is maybe like 3. How cute is it that a 30yr old man truly loves playing with toddlers. It's so adorable to see how all 3 are mentally in the same place, so they enjoy playing together. I mean of course the normal siblings will be too advanced to play with Shawn in a few yrs, but he'll always be able to go "play" with Rocco, even when he's in a nursing home in his 50's. Although, I'm not sure how the alzheimers effects their playing (about half of people with DS develop early onset dementia in their 50'e). Born This Way never talked about the fact half the cast would get dementia in their 50's, but the show wasn't really about discussing the tough REAL difficulties of having DS. As the show went on, it became more and more just propaganda for pretending that positive thinking could overcome a genetic handicap that resulted in severe life long mental and physical disabilities…
It's not just that it takes them longer to learn. The point is there are things they will NEVER have the ability to learn. So it's not that it takes them longer, its that they have a ceiling and limitations.
Don't worry about their education. Let's be real here – they have DS, their education is pointless.
The arab was the only smart person in that room, even if the things he came up with can be thought up by an average, intelligent human being, but it requires thinking. The rest were offering disney-like "Live, laugh and love" kind of advice. This man gave the solution. It's saddening to see how clueless people are becoming, further we go into the future, despite now having the infinite possibilities to do our own research, and get our answers, thanks to the internet. I mostly see this idiocy in America only though, due to the brainwashing and killing the intelligence of the people slowly. You don't know what you're doing, you're dissolving U.S.A slowly with these PC Culture, modern feminism (Communism) and other "Good" causes, that are just creations of our twisted nature, and our fantasies. If you are one of these people, you are not living in reality, you are living in a conjured world, ideal world that cannot exist. Excuse my english, I was never teached the universal language. I learned it mainly from playing games and watching movies.
The average person with DS will NOT have a job. Unless it's a business their parents create and run for them….
Rachel was in special ed and can read perfectly. Shawn was in normal classes and is basically illiterate. Even now when his mommy asks him to read a sign all he can read is a number on the sign.
Rachel was in special ed – and she BY FAR can do more for herself than Shawn can. Shawn literally can't do anything for himself. His nanny does everything for him
Won't excoiled in info to born this way
I'm tired of people saying that people with Down Syndrome just need a little more time to figure things out. That is a bold-faced lie. There are many things that they will never understand or be able to figure out no matter how much time you give them. They are mentally disabled and incapable of grasping Concepts that are easily understood by normal people as young as five years old. People with down Syndrome LITERALLY cannot have a normal back and forth conversation. Mentally they can not process what someone is saying and respond to it. That's not a MINOR thing.
And I'm sorry – jobs for people with DS is a JOKE. Is an American made fantasy to think an adult who has the IQ of a 2yr old and who will NEVER understand the concept of money and finance is going to be employable if people just understand them better. Everyone understands people with DS, but it doesn't change the fact that they are pretty much worthless when it comes to being employed. Robots are already taking jobs from normal people who just aren't super educated. ANY job that a DS person can do (although I'm not sure what job a DS person can do without a job coach- and a job coach is a joke), an normal person can do 1,000 times faster, better.
I love people with down syndrome, they have cute faces.
I love this show. I will miss it. My fave are John, Elena, Rachel and Steve.
When i first started watching THIS show, i THOUGHT that Rick and Sandra were siblings. They look SO MUCH alike. Fr fr
It's just sad seeing all these Trump supporters 🙁

Stick to the Live PD and scared straight clips..
I am an after school counselor and one of my 18 love bugs has downs. He is the slickest silliest little helper and even tho he’s a sneaky trouble maker for giggles he truly is an awesome little guy. I’ve know him for a short time but he’s taught me so much. We treat him just like every body else and he understands everything nearly the same. It’s been an interesting yet fun journey.
You are the best professional ðŸ‘ÂÂ🌹ðŸ™ÂÂâ¤ï¸ÂÂ
Down Syndrome people have that 😄 chromosome bruh!! I used to babysit a little girl with Downs. If you remember back in the day your equalizer was separate from the radio and the lights would go crazy, especially on Van Halen. She loved to sit in my car, listen to Van Halen, watch those lights. Melissa would just clap, bounce and smile. Life doesn't get any better than that fam! â¤
YeP
Theyre so pure and genuine Ive had the pleasure to be close to two people with DS and they made me a better person. With positive spirit and honest opinions they viewed things from an innocent point of view. Humbled me all the time
Anyone else notice the guy not let his wife talk at 4:22
Wholesome content
