  3. This might be a stupid question but is there any reason the police and rescue officers didn't use a thermal radar to find the body heat coming off the nearest person around them?

  5. What I don't get is why did they not just use a helicopter with some kind of thermal camera on it rather than sending people out in the cold like that?
