21. People should realize that the “spike” in cases over a 24 hr period does not mean that many people got sick in the last 24 hrs. Tests can take 4 – 7 days to be processed. There has been a backlog of tests and the results are being reported in batches. Plus the state has been testing more and in more parishes.
