HTC’s 2018 flagship will include dual cameras, a bigger display and a fresh design. Here’s what the rumor mill is saying so far about the HTC U12, codenamed “Imagine.”

I miss htc's metal frame.
I thought google bought HTC? And the Google Pixel 2, is actually made by HTC.
Love it BUT
If it has
NO HEADPHONE JACK – NO SALE
I don't know how you was hired by a company thats purpose is to talk about smart phones and you apparently know nothing about them. But let me educate you.
1. The M8 was not HTC's first attempt at dual cameras. The EVO 3D was. That phone came out years before the M8. And while that camera was not perfect, it was alright at the time it was released. The M8 camera was a good camera also. The effects it produced then was ahead of it's time as now everyone is going crazy over blurred backgrounds.
2. The so called new renders of the HTC U12+ are a little confusing to me. For one thing they are computer generated renders. The second thing is on the screen of the phone, they show a fingerprint picture where the home button should be on the screen. I think HTC pushed their release date back to improve the under screen finger print sensor this phone will have.
So please try to be above the standard and be better than your peers or competition. It just sounds like you're reading what others have said about HTC instead of doing your own investigation and using common sense.
HTC just can't release a right phone at it's right price segment, and it's branding is a complete mess right now. If you don't have organized branding of smartphones, you'll be a lost cause forever.
Actually the dual cameras go back to the HTC Evo 3d, need to dig a little deeper
I really hope they bring back the headphone jack otherwise I'm gonna have to pass again
That shirt though o_O
still my M8 until now, don't know if I want to upgrade to the 10's or U11 series, but it's good to know that htc still developing the flagship phones 🙂
By the looks of it, I think they're bringing back front firing speakers.
They should work on battery optimization damn
Buying the HTC U12 is very risky due to many unknown situations this year. The company's CEO quit, and there are rumors floating around that this would be HTC's last flagship phone. If that's the case, for how long would the phone be supported? Will it even get updates? HTC is in a bad position, and they even sold most of their talents to google. Maybe it would be better to wait for the pixel 3/pixel 3 XL or get other android phones such as the new oneplus or even samsung's galaxy S9/S9 plus. I am not very confident in HTC's situation, and I love HTC phones.
HTC makes the best phones (aside from Pixels which are again made by HTC!). If only they had the money to advertise… Samsung would have never become relevant.
HTCs removal of the headphone jack and no longer having front dual speakers kinda makes me sad. 🙁
Just repackage the m7,m8,m9 with latest internals and screen, focus on audio while others are ditching the jack, keep the IR blaster and piss off wireless charging for a metal back and they'll be on to a winner!!
Man I remember when my HTC Evo 4G was the tits back in the day.
Here's to hoping that the HTC U12 does well.
I don't think it will matter. The phone can be awesome, but nobody will buy it. The carriers won't push it at all, because they only push iPhone and Samsung.
U11 with front speakers would be perfect
Bring back the headphone jack and upgrade audio quality to 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC… this will get noticed by many.
Htc u11 is good phone…Hope u12 be better…Bcoz I like htc phones….
What is this LTE+ icon I've been seeing on device leaks this year?
…IDK…I still won't part with my HTC 10, which I feel WAS the last of their "glory days"! They have to put out something much better than the U11 and all its iterations, in order to catch my interest (and dollars) again…
Correction: the first HTC dual camera phone was the EVO 3D.
Cool… I'm hoping they update their software…it looks pretty dated.
Question is will HTC sell the phones in all markets or just surrender the US market to Apple and Samsung.
I want a U12 Plus early in the year so I can buy it instead of the S9+ I need that bigger screen and battery.
HTC needs to work on their optimisation. The U11+ with its ~4000mAh battery should have been among the battery champs of 2017, yet it shows only acceptable battery life.
It's a shame! They build phones like tanks.. But still they are so underrated!
However it's still gonna be a dumb device.
I want them to go with Oled instead of that LCD trash they use
It will start life as the new pixel phone, then get ditched for an inferior device for the project.
I want: HTC U12 vs. Samsung Galaxy X
