2. things like prison: my covid experience. i did 2 months in solitary confinement. while visiting family an hour away i got covid so i stayed in my grandmothers basement for 2 months while i isolated myself so i couldnt go upstairs or really have any close contact with anyone. my grandma would bring me down meals and leave them on the table for me to come out and grab like some kind of cave goblin. thankfully theres a toilet and shower down there. one of the most depressing times of my life.

6. In a strange way the Army when deployed is like prison. Some small similarity's. When I first got out worked in construction it was weird the things the veterans had in common with the ex-convicts.

34. I heard psych wards may be similar to prisons

35. This made me laugh and cringe at the same time. My top 5- 1. suicides- when the kid in the cell next to mine strung up and I could hear his feet kicking against the metal wall by the toilet/sink or when someone cut up in the showers and blood was everywhere. 2. Playing fucking spades- day in and day out. 3. The never-ending strip searches, every time I left the unit or got a visit, better learn to check your dignity at the door. 4. Holidays- I've seen grown men (killers) cry and wanted to join them. 5. Respect.
