  1. This is the only episode I know of where there was only one letter read in the intervention before the addict agrees to go to rehab.

  2. i feel like her ex could’ve told her that the twins weren’t at school?

  3. This episode had me in tears. I can relate so much. You are my inspiration Sylvia. I had a relapse 5 days ago. I know that longterm maintenance is possible.

  4. This episode has stuck with me since season one.. probably more than any other episode…💔💖
20:07 The way she sounded when she called the cab company..🤣🤣🤣 Like she said, always performing.

  5. This truly pulls my heart strings going through things Sylvia went through regarding custody battle with her kids and having to comply with a narcissist while trying to cope drinking. Until you walk our shoes you truly don't know the pain. Smh

  6. This episode always gets me, I feel for her. My dad is an alcoholic and was my whole childhood… then I started drinking heavy when my brother passed away…. I literally had flashbacks of this episode and told myself ‘Cristy don’t be like her, your one drink away from being this person’ she had everything and lost it.. I’m so happy she turned her life around ❤️❤️❤️

  7. One of my favorites, not only because of her recovery, but her MOTHER, AUNTS, SISTERS, ETC were so DRAMATIC & HILARIOUS! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Again, ECSTATIC about her recovery and career change to become an example, advocate, and interventionist

  8. Sylvia seems like the sweetest person I've seen on here. Poor thing was just so hurt im glad to hear she's been better. I relate all too well to that sobbing in bed just yelling at the walls that you want it to stop or get better. I'm still there now.

  9. As an alcoholic in recovery I can attest that alcohol is the worst
I’ve been addicted to several. Drugs
But nothing ruined my life more than alcohol

  10. I guess they don’t lock the front doors in NC when said drunk is going out to get one more fix in before the night is over

  11. She had so much love, I'm glad she has a good life. Very proud of her ❤️

  12. It tripped me out that she could get sober to ask for more hours to see her kids, but she just crying and kept drinking.

  13. Such a darling lady!! So happy she is sober👏🏻👏🏻

  14. My heart breaks for her. I am so happy to know that her life has since turned around 🥺🥰

  15. Wow!!! This is really a tear jerker and eye opener!!!🥺🥺

  16. The problem with people who try to help that don’t understand alcoholism is they think taking the alcohol away or telling someone to stop cold turkey is gonna work. A lot of people can die from stopping cold turkey.
