Battle of the Nokias: Nokia 7 Plus vs Nokia 8 Sirocco

1. Business Opportunity in Ruvol

   I have invented a Board Game [still unpublished and not yet out in the market] that I believe is guaranteed to be as challenging and exciting as CHESS. I called it “RUVOL.”

   It is my hope that one day Ruvol may surpass chess as the “Number One Board Game in the World.”

   The weakness of chess is it always starts in fixed positions that the opening moves become “memorizable.” In fact, not a few have so mastered the moves that they can play against their opponents “blindfolded.” It is for this very reason that the great Bobby Fischer introduced his so-called “Fischer Random Chess,” where the starting position of the pieces is “randomized” to make the memorization of openings impracticable. Fortunately, it is also for this reason that I invented Ruvol where “every game” has been calculated to be a challenging one to play.

   It is worthwhile to note that the people who play chess will be the same people who will play Ruvol. In my Google search, I learned there are around 800 million chess players in the world. Even just a small percentage of these 800 million is good enough to earn big money from Ruvol either as an ONLINE GAME BUSINESS or as a PHYSICAL PRODUCT DISTRIBUTOR.

6. The 8 Sirocco is definitely worthy to consider thanks to flagship-tier CPU, AMOLED screen, IP67 rating, and industry standard 16:9 screen aspect ratio.

   But if I'm going to choose between that or the 7 plus, I'll go for 7 plus for one very important reason: microSD card slot. I can forgive the lack of 3.5mm headphone jack in the 8 Sirocco because of USB-C earphones and headphones, but the lack of microSD card slot? That's a big NO-NO! I NEVER put my files in internal storage and NEVER rely on cloud storage, so microSD card is still a relevant feature.

8. The 7plus is sure chomping at my mind for my next phone but being a speaker lover I wish Nokia would adopt front facing stereo speakers in their line of at least mid range phones. Most of us are mid range buyers anyway and I can only bet Nokia would draw many more customers with some nice speakers, since we do have to submit to less high end chipsets and storage etc. Come on Nokia.

    You cannot expect a mid-range model to have all the features though. So this has the most BANG! for your Bucks.

24. Nokia 8 Sirocco has a zoom lens where 7+ has not, 8 sirocco has OLED screen where 7+ is IPS. Also I prefer 16:9 over 18:9.

25. Was waiting for a flagship Nokia to replace my note 5 but the Sirocco doesn't catch my attention. If it was more similar to the lumia 950xl with Android one id be all over it

28. Lower megapixels doesn't equate worse camera. The Nokia 8 Sirocco has far larger pixels (1.4 µm) in the selfie camera, meaning it's more low-light capable than the Nokia 7 Plus selfie-camera (1.0 µm).

    Personally I also greatly prefer the 16:9 aspect ratio over the 2:1. YouTube is 16:9, TV-series are 16:9 and web-pages are easier to browse in a more squarish format, as you can see on productivity tablets from Apple, Google, Samsung and Microsoft (using 3:2 or even 4:3 aspect ratios).
