In today’s episode we’re firing up and bench testing our first of the 2 yacht engines.
Shoutout to Holley for all the support, check them out at https://www.holley.com/
And big thanks to Texas Speed for building our engines, if you need an LS, check them out here https://www.texas-speed.com/

The 30yr old yacht had a Berth Day!
A is for Awesome
B is for Brave
Thanks man, love watching. Just wish I could have as much fun.
I can't wait for the sea trials so I can watch the epic fail that aft is gonna be so light the bow is going to plow and maybe submarine ?
op dont come on till she start
I love this channel.
Do you have to include the engine cradles in your galvanic warfare (zincs, etc.)?
You need to put back in the same weight that equals what you took out. Otherwise the chines will be out of the water and the boat will be unstable. YouTube hook, line and sinker, beast 2.
Gonna need a new starter before u put the engine in lol
Just run water wetter instead of coolant. The water is cold enough, you just need lubrication.
Marine Engineer Grade 2 here,,, make sure you have sacrificial anodes on both raw water and engine coolant sides, otherwise electrolysis will corrode the metals quite quickly, especially the stainless and aluminium as they are not friends especially when there is a slight current leak. only has to be .1 of a volt ,, there is always a tiny bit of current leak with boats and this will also accelerate elecrolysis, Anodes ARE a must have Chris
Engine cradle?
JUMP A CAN – JUMP A CAN – JUMP A CAN ! 😀
I love RAW water.
It's my favorite of all the waters.
Holley should make OLED screens, they will look way better, though I have no clue how long can they survive, as they are known for burn-in.
Where is your fire extinguishers ????
awesome guys
@chris, if you are not using the old dash dials/meters, let me know.
Is there going to be enough time to complete the boat build and test on the water. We are a third of the way through June.
no Cletus MRW heads?
Lol. Just a couple of bros trying to get 1 of 2 LSX boat engine for an Italian yacht to run, while a fully custom, off-road LAMBORGHINI HURACAN casually chills in the background. Only at BisforBuild ladies and gentlemen.
Boats…anything with boats has so many unexpected, and time-consuming tasks…interesting thought for me, though, is why have such expensive engines without upgrading your engine heat exchangers? Yea, they're expensive, but so are the motors they protect. Fix the problem before it becomes one
Was waiting for a new episode lol u guys are awesome cant wait for the next video
how long till engine blow running under Normal Continuous Rating ? n it sounds like those old river express boat in south east asia
Awesome was waiting for this…Loved how scetch it was haha not once did I see a fire extinguisher on standby lol, pls comment on how the water cooler copes…is it too effective maybe?
Came for the comments. Stayed for Oscar’s fabrication
Texas speed watching them paint their brand new valve covers like o_O
Get this guy a fab table.
Spray can paint fucking junk
Show have powdered coated those engine mounts more durable and to clean
How that oil cooler cool the oil by air or cold intake water?
'' we're LS swaping the yacht because LS swap the world'' lmaoo
The engine oil cooler is WAY undersized. It should be replaced with a cooler sized for at least 750 hp. Preferably more. I have used this unit in the following link with good results. It's a full flow by pass unit with built in thermostat.https://www.mrcool.us/mrc-cph-700.html If you can't swing the expense, PLEASE install a oil temp sender in the pan!!! Keep a close eye on oil temps during sea trial. The engine cooler in your vid is sized for a 260 hp engine.
There are other issues I see, but the oil cooler is a BIG problem.
It's called an engine cradle.
Any episode that is long or short, I'd watch.
Iv been following for a while, and I think I speak for us all when I say we CANT WAIT to see how the #jumpicon and #LSXyacht turn out! Great content and good stuff brother🤘
So I’ve been watching your channel for a while now, I’m a marine mechanic and specialize in re-powers on boats in the 40-90ft range. Please make sure that these motors make rated RPMS. If the motors on a stand make 6000 they should make that in the boat as well (that is running the boat on the first sea trial). Reason being is because you can easily overload those motors. One downfall I considered and was slightly disappointed you did not go with a diesel, simply because in order to make RPMS in your boat, you will have to turn a very small prop. Making maneuverability much more difficult just my take on the plan. I have done give or take a 100 of these jobs. Just my personal opinion
cradle… engine cradle
I wanna know how many beers ya had before the intro was recorded? LOL
Time for another one!
B is for Boat is why I subscribed. That engine sounds soooooo gooooood
Oscar should check out the motion race works tech tip on valve cover bung welding its a vast improvement of what I just witnessed lol
what kinda weight did you save going this route?
Happy birthday 🎉
Waiting to hear the people that said LS was impossible
Great accomplishment getting the engine going. Love watching all the troubleshooting.
I like this video before I even started watching it.. I'm loving the boat content
That beast sounds incredible
Blue water?.10:00 …Say it isn't so! Blue water is what you see in the snorkelers on the construction sites before the guy who ate the double chili dogs, off the roach coach, gets in there with the sports section.
