12. Bad example of sideloading. You dont need the app to use VPN. It can be done in the settings

14. Did this on a 2018 Sony Android TV, works fine. Small issue if I forget to disconnect the VPN, and later go to turn on the TV after previously turning TV off with remote, then when I try and turn TV back on with remote it will not turn on. I have to hold the power on button on the TV to get it to turn on. I wonder if the Sony TV that is a Canadian model gets confused when the VPN provides a USA internet IP?
